Ended up watching it in bed as I found an awesome stream for fullscreen. What a gooseberry fool show. They had no clue what they were doing. Heels booked as faces and vice versa, double count out bluff in the MAIN EVENT, a reversed decision and interference to finish the show.

GRAPL will be marked once I've woken myself up.

Yeah I'm seeing a lot of hate. I was drunk and laughing my arse off with friends though, probably helped the match a bit. Going to re-watch it over the next couple of days and give my full thoughts.

And Proto  :fp: The guy's meant to be a wrestling fanatic with a Twitter account devoted to wrestling and yet he makes two massive massive calls and gets the entirely wrong. Cena to turn heel and Cena to win. Saying he'd leave as well if Miz did win

Maybe I'm just gloating because I'm one of the few people on here to get both title match winners right. 8-)

WrestleMania is usually the culmination of feuds & has a sense of finality about it, but that really wasn't the case here at all.

The finish to the main event didn't really make much sense - Rock didn't cost Cena anything, as Cena had already lost. Why even bother restarting it at all? Nothing was stopping him giving him the Rock Bottom anyway. Ending on Rock beating up Miz fell flat because we'd already seen it close out RAW for free.

I thought the wrestling was consistently good, but outside of the Taker/HHH match, the booking of the matches was either unimaginative or just plain stupid. Things that should have happened (Del Rio winning, Christian turning heel) or were expected to happen if you've been, you know, following the TV (what was Shawn Michael's master plan? He never once factored in to the match; Cole receiving a Stunner) didn't materialise. No explanation or mention of the US Title match, either - there will be some people watching (well, quite a lot actually) wondering what on earth happened to it.

Of recent WrestleMania's, 24 is still the best. I'd rank 27 second, 26 third & 25 last (it's also ranking as one of the worst 'Mania's full stop).

To those who watched it did you miss the show not having a MITB ladder match? it seems alot of big stars never got on the card at all due to them dropping that match

What was the point in the 8 man tag match?

I personally didn't miss it, though some sort of high-flying spectacle would have been nice (a normal/tag ladder match, say) - not that there would have been any room for it. I can't remember a PPV running so close to the allotted PPV time in quite a while. The video packages, while fantastic, could have been bumped to allow more time. Should have played them on RAW or something.

The MITB match itself is great, but I think the entire gimmick has run its course, & has just added to the decline of the belts meaning anything. Not that it matters, as it's back in a few months anyway.

I'm glad they didn't do a MITB, it was getting boring having it year in and year out. It should be used sparingly, at Summerslam every now and then. But last night did miss having one gimmick match.

It was fine. We watched Wrestlemania 17 beforehand, APA/Right to Censor got roughly the same amount of time and nobody cares about that.

If Cena complains on RAW Rock cost him the match then that makes absolutely no sense.

That is all.

Had I not bet my GRcade account on Cena winning, I'd post my thoughts in their entirety.

Goodbye forever
