Having Shane after you is much worse than being fired.

I only managed to stay up until about number 5 in the Rumble before I fell asleep. Funnily enough I woke up just in time to see Orton win the Rumble, after which I went to bed. I'm surprised to see I did so well in GRAPL

Seriously, did anyone see how bad the final segment was last night? Shane Mcmahon KO'd Orton, and beat the gooseberry fool out of Priceless. WTF were they thinking!

The whole show was trash.

It got off to a bad start with Orton's awful promo explaining his actions the previous week. Followed by short and forgettable matches that did nothing for the participants. To top it all off they ended the show with one of the worst segments in years. Now I'm no fan of Orton, Rhodes or DiBiase Jr. but it's ridiculous that they would bury the whole faction and undo months of effort in the space of 5 minutes.

Just stumbled across this via GAF:

http://kotaku.com/5139951/cc-red-alert- ... tain-flair

EA has announced the live-action cast of the Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising expansion, adding in a little ultra-violence, a bit of unfortunate anime adaptation, and a whole lot of Flair.

Ric Flair, that is. The 16-time world heavyweight wrestling champion joins an all-star lineup of new additions to the Red Alert 3 roster, portraying Commander Hill, one of the commanders players will take on in the new Commander's Challenge mode. Flair was understandably excited about the role.

“When I found out that EA wanted me to be part of Command & Conquer, all I could say was ‘Woooooooooooo!’”

...okay.

Along with Flair comes the legendary Malcolm McDowell, Jamie Chung from the live-action Dragonball movie, Prison Break's Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, and Holly Valance from the Dead or Alive movie. Check out pictures of the new set of scenery-chewing stars below!

Pics at the link.

WTF?

I disagree with most on the final segment of Raw. I liked it, i found it funny seeing Shane beat the gooseberry fool out of them. It was easy to see how he did it Rhodes & Dibiase were trying to hold shane down rather than attack him, they weren't actually trying to fight him so it's believable that he could overcome them.

Anyway on Raw as a whole it was a bit lacklusture. Cryme Tyme should never have had a title shot tonight. It should have been saved until No Way Out. They could have built up the rivalry instead with some backstage skits. Cryme Tyme should be playing tricks or pranks on them or something.

Also why did HBK have to fight Cena for a spot (JBL's spot) in the elimination chamber? no one else had to fight the heavyweight champion for a spot, surely it should have been against another wrestler.

The Punk V Jerricho match was a bit strange Jerricho won too easily against the IC champion. Plus what's the point in putting Jerricho in the elimination chamber match when he is obviously facing Mickey Rourke at WM? so it's obvious that Jerricho won't win at No Way Out.

All of those points are very worthwhile ... well summed up :fp: *sigh* ... it was all pretty bad wasn't it!

EDIT: ECW sounds horrible

* Theodore Long, Tiffany, and Jack Swagger head to the ring to get Swagger's ECW title belt back. Theodore Long gets on the mic and calls out whomever stole the title. Finlay makes his way out to ringside. Hornswoggle appears from underneath the ring with the ECW Championship belt. Swagger hits Hornswoggle and Finlay takes him out with a shot to the head to end this week's ECW

Just a thought about all the Christian rumours after his no show at the Rumble. I wonder what will happen to him. It seems a given that he is coming to WWE but when. Now that Matt has turned on Jeff, will Christian turn up to help Jeff, or will he turn up to fued with Edge leaving Matt & Jeff to fued as well. Maybe he will just go to Raw. Then again maybe Vince has left him in limbo and not actually signed him at all.

The consenus about RVD seems to be that he is on very good terms with WWE and they would welcome him back but his wife is ill and has been for a while. Anyone know what her illness actually is? if it's serious but not something that she will die from then we probably won't see him back full time again.

Just watched Raw. The final segment was unbelievably awful. Shane McMahon was totally out of shape, blowing up almost straight away. For those watching in HD, nearly all his punches were missing by a country mile & were incredibly weak. As if beating up Orton, Ted & Rhodes wasn't silly enough, he then started punching out the rest of the Raw roster!

Thankfully I could fly through it, but the incessant repeats of last week's final segment were totally unnecessary. They then decided to repeat Orton's opening piece as well.

As for Cena's new film, I'm getting a serious case of deja vu...

I have HD and did notice that the longer it went on the more he missed and the weaker the punches were but then again as you say he looked very out of shape, i know if i had to throw that many punches i would be missing and throwing punches like a girl (not the Glamazon) too.

On the newly released Legends of Wrestling DVD, the WWE have blurred Rey Mysterio's face (WCW circa 1999 - 2001). Beyond pathetic.

Concerning the ending of Raw, it makes even less sense when you consider the last time Shane was on Raw, he was having it out with Stephanie about how she was going to run the show into the ground.

RVD's wife has colon cancer mate. Terrible illness, and I hope she recovers. For the record, I'm almost certain that the 'E offered Van Dam a strawberry floating lot of money, and a guaranteed spot in the Hall of Fame to actually renew his contract.

Wouldn't he be pissed about Vince though?

He would, but Stephanie looked really pleased to see him - that & she knew he was coming; it was her big 'plan'.

It's like with Edge & Vickie. The last time Edge was on TV they hated each other (indeed, Vickie stuck him in Hell in a Cell with the Undertaker), yet once he returned the affair had suddenly been forgotten about & they were 'on' again. The wedding planner then vanished. She's now on ECW with some Alex Wright rip off, I believe. How that came about, I have no idea...

Eurosport & WWE have teamed up.

Press Release wrote:Eurosport and World Wrestling Entertainment® (WWE) have announced a distribution deal for two action-packed WWE programs. The two-year agreement will see Eurosport broadcast ‘This Week in WWE’ and ‘WWE Vintage Collection’ in all its European territories excluding the UK, delivering WWE programming to over 200 million viewers and 58 countries across the continent.

Launching on February 9, 2009, Eurosport will broadcast ‘This Week in WWE’ and ‘WWE Vintage Collection’ back to back in prime time.

‘This Week in WWE’ is a weekly catch up show exclusively produced for Eurosport, featuring clips from WWE’s flagship programmes RAW®, SmackDown® and ECW®. Each Monday night at 21:00 CET, fans can catch up on WWE’s week of action, including the latest matches, rivalries and news on their favourite WWE Superstars and Divas.

Through this agreement, Eurosport also acquires exclusive European (excluding UK) programming rights to ‘WWE Vintage Collection’, which is dedicated to WWE legends from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. Airing each Monday at 21:30 CET, Eurosport will be the only channel in continental Europe offering fans access to WWE’s greatest legends, including Stone Cold Steve Austin®, The Rock®, Hulk Hogan, and Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart.

"Offering top quality WWE programming on our channel will reinforce Eurosport's positioning as Europe's leading sports and entertainment group. Eurosport is committed to offering viewers top of the line programming. We believe that WWE programming will be an asset to our channel and will attract family and younger audiences. We are delighted to sign an agreement with WWE, the most prominent action entertainment organisation in the world" explains Arnaud Simon, Broadcast Director for Eurosport.

"Delivering WWE programming to our fans on a pan-regional basis is testament to the ever-increasing demand for the WWE product in Europe. We are delighted to announce our partnership with a group of the strength and breadth of Eurosport, which will see WWE broadcast in over 100 million homes across continental Europe,” adds Andrew Whitaker, President of International for WWE.

When I initially read the headline, I thought this may have been the beginning of some sort of WWE/Sky Sports split.

Mickey Rourke and Chris Jericho start verbals on Larry King already: -

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=tnR_WX5snAs

If Mickey gets an Oscar for the Wrestler, this would bring a stack of outside media interest and entice people to buy Wrestlemania, Vince must creaming over this. I'd love to see it happen.

He probably won't get an Oscar because he is going to Wrestlemania.

Shame Rourke no-sold the challenge by Jericho by smiling alot and not saying much. I'll be interested to see how they put some shine on it for the next RAW.

Has anyone else noticed the bloke in the Oatibix & Virgin Atlantic adverts looks incredibly like Don West?
