This thread has made for a very entertaining read despite not being able to watch the PPV - people's reaction to the main event

I wonder where things will go from here. Del Rio will obviously have his rematch next month, HHH will probably bury Truth and Miz for daring to interfere against him. I hope to god Punk isn't stuck in a match with Nash. Really not sure where they'll go next with him. Its amazing that just two months ago it was MitB and that amazing atmosphere and match

Edit: Thanks you Powers for such an awesome recap of the main event

Utter tripe.

Let's not go talking crazy. Terrible as that main event was, the PPV on the whole was still better than stuff like this years Over The Limit.

Perhaps a little OTT. It's just there wasn't really a good-great match all night, and some of the results and booking were :fp:-worthy.

The tag match, four way for the US title and Henry/Orton were all good matches are worst. Let's be honest, we know it could get worse. I'm not sure that's much consolation looking at the main event though.

True. I enjoyed the tag and four-way matches. Orton/Henry was passable due to a decent build for Henry and the fact that Orton being able to pull off his signature moves was in doubt.

Main-event was horrendous. Just as things were starting to get good with the elbow-drop they have a mass of run-ins and Triple H going over Punk. Just over a month ago Punk was the hottest star they have, and now Trips and Nash have gooseberry fool all over him. I can only hope Punk looks strong by the end of RAW tomorrow or it's over.

It just amazes me how the WWE have managed to mess up the whole Punk storyline though maybe it shouldn't. It's been all downhill since they introduced HHH into it.

Genuinely considering ignoring Raw completely and just watching Smackdown from now on if tonight's show doesn't advance the storyline in any meaningful way.

Way too much stuff in the main event. Why did R-Truth break up the pin CM Punk pin on Hunter? Did he just get confused? It's understandable if he did. The announcers were so confused they never saw Ace text Nash.

But Punk got to kick out of the Pedigree. There's a very select group of wrestlers that have been allowed to do that over the last 8 or 9 years.

It sounds like they had a worst case scenario from a storyline point of view and decided to go for that. Maybe it will be different when I watch my recording of it tonight but after reading all your opinions I'm not looking forward to it. :(

One thing they should do now is have Henry go all the way to Mania undefeated and decimating the opposition and then have Bryan beat him. Would give Bryan a major push if they are really serious about having him as a lead star.

Loads of people don't want it to happen but I think it needs to happen, they need to try and make Henry/Bryan the next Kurt Angle vs Samoa joe, give it a big fight feel.

Yeah I actually have a lot of time for the Henry feud. I'm a big believer that big guys can still entertain even if they aren't as athletic as the smaller ones. I'm probably going against the grain here but I think Henry's matches over the last couple of months have actually been really entertaining.

It would be great to see him going on an angry dominant run over the next few months. Even more so if he now states that the WCW title isn't enough and wants the WWE title too and manages to beat Cena to unify it. That would never happen but the least I can hope for is that he remains WCW champion until Mania.

(I know its called the World Heavyweight Championship but I still think they should have kept the WCW brand in some form, maybe even renaming Smackdown as WCW Nitro)

So Huntor wins at the main event of a PPV and Cena is champion again?

I think I might be done with this product.
