Just catching up on NWO, a few live impressions as I go. Whilst we all rave about Punk and Bryan being great workers I feel Ziggler is massively overlooked. He was absolutely superb in the opening title match and I think is easily on the level of Punk and Bryan now in the ring. He can cut a promo too if given chance but personally I'd keep him with Vickie.

Props to Sheamus too, he was good during the opening match. Genuine facepalm at Lawler though when the 15 or so thousand fans were chanting let's go Ziggler and he tried making out they were chanting for Sheamus. I don't know if he is just out of touch with the product or was stupidly trying to cover for the crowd cheering a heel.

This

Yes, go back to ROH where you can earn 1/50th of what you're currently earning.

It should work out well.

Just looked up the results. How predictable.

Went to watch the PPV at a mate's house. Pretty poor show, the best thing about it was AJ. :datass:

Sheamus vs Dolph was ok, and the triple threat was ok. Meh.

It wasn't, but then again it's not like you to get anything right in this thread ;) Only part of the PPV that was bad was the entire Cena/Big Show match and the Sin Cara/Hunico match was poor (but Sin Cara is terrible spot monkey in the WWE and Hunico is generic Mexican guy #123845646456 and the lighting ruins any chance of getting the match over).

;)

I didn't think it was bad in terms of the wrestling ability, but the whole show was filled with nothing matches. Hunico vs Sin Cara, fatal four way tag match... a tuxedo match!

Not to mention King Kong Bundy vs Hulk Hogan as the main event.

The only thing I got involved in was the triple threat match, everything else was either useless or you could see the result coming a mile away.

That Tuxedo match :fp: , probably the worse tuxedo match I've ever seen - and that's saying a lot

I have to say one thing, I actually enjoyed the Diva match - far better then anything the Diva's have done for a while (still not good enough)

edit - Mouth on LAW reckons Ace gone = more Vince, if that is the case then I am done with RAW

I'm quite amazed they went with an all-face show. From start to finish, with the one exception of the tag match, all the bad guys lost.

Had a look at WWE.com & will listen to the Wrestling Observer later. No interest in 'acquiring' this show.

If Bryan was jobbing to Cena/Orton I'd have a huge problem - However he's having a really great series of matches that are putting him over against another very talented wrestler in Punk (Hell the Sheamus 2/3 match was really good and Bryan ran the match and was in complete control)

I'm worried Punk will turn heel and fued with face Kane who has been manipulated by the little girl - There's sill the rumours of Punk/Big Show Summerslam for the title :(

I have a believe the WWE is very high on Bryan, I mean he got a promo time with Vince himself (all be it Vince kinda burying him in Vince's way) and jumped from one title run/feud right into another top title feud - I feel he'll get the title, but then again who cares? The title means nothing in WWE these days anyway (hell Sheamus is heavily hinted at holding it for a whole strawberry floating year, the guy still won't be good enough to be the title holder at the end), it's not the goal anymore, the goal is to job to Cena in a main event, that's the new glass ceiling.

It's like WWE thought they'd give the people what they want, no Cena as champ, then turned around and made Cena main event every PPV is the big story - yet go to TNA and the title is huge and the vast majority of the roster are doing all they can to get a shot, let alone win it

Having now watched the whole PPV I thought it was another good event to be honest. It could have done without the tuxedo match and really should have ended after the WWE title match but other than that it was a solid enough show.

The cage match at the end was ok I can't say it was terrible but it wasn't a show closer either. Plenty of stuff they can build on going forwards. I'd like to see them wrap up the GM role now though. Just go back to a neutral president that pops up every now and then to make matches or dish out punishment and let's put the attitude era bad boss format to bed.

It is absolutely ridiculous that for the 6th straight PPV, the main event has not involved either the WWE or World Championships. Whether Cena is or isn't the champion is an irrelevance, because he's always the headliner.

It makes the World Titles look absolutely worthless.

Don't think I did too bad for GRAPL this month though I did predict a Beth Pheonix win.

Absolutely awful PPV maybe because I'm comparing it to Slammiversary, seems like at the moment I can skim through RAW in about an hour. Nothing really that interesting.

Bring on the new NXT though

Think that's the joke. WWE tends to do that kind of stuff all the time "oh we have more followers than blah blah" when there is probably a good reason for that (example sports, I'd imagine a sharks fan would like the sharks and not the NFL).

Yes, I'm looking forward to this too...though looking at the new tapings (3 weeks worth) things look like they've already started going awry. Keep in mind there doesn't seem to be any running order for any of this stuff...

WWE NXT Tapings

William Regal and Bryon Saxton are out on commentary.

Camacho beat Tyson Kidd after Michael McGillicutty interfered.

Bray Wyatt beat Aiden English.

Jim Ross, who is only calling main events now, came out for commentary.

Titus O'Neil and Darren Young beat The Usos. Ross left commentary again after this match.

Tamina Snuka beat Kaitlyn.

Jinder Mahal made Percy Watson tap out.

Leo Kruger beat Richie Steamboat.

Justin Gabriel beat Heath Slater.

Johnny Curtis and Michael McGillicutty beat Derrick Bateman and Bo Dallas.

Kenneth Cameron and Conor O'Brian defeated Dante Dash and Garrett Dylan.

Sofia Cortez beat Natalya when Natalya refused to face her and walked out for the count out. Natalya came back, beat Sofia down and put her in the Sharpshooter.

Drew McIntyre beat Seth Rollins.

Raquel Diaz beat Paige.

Antonio Cesaro defeated Alex Riley.

Sheamus defeated Drew McIntyre with the Brogue Kick.

I don't see any benefit of having talent already on RAW and SmackDown that nobody gives a gooseberry fool about beating new talent that are starting off with a clean slate. The Sofia Cortez vs. Natalya & Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins matches for example achieve nothing. I thought this was supposed to be a show to expose brand new wrestlers, having brand new matches and getting them over. Not the dregs of the main shows turning up & either wrestling each other or beating all the new guys. And when the hell did Natalya turn heel? Unless of course that's coming up on a TV taping, as this show is miles in advance.

I'm presuming Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre is a dark match main event because otherwise that makes no sense either.

I purposefully didn't bet on last night because I could sense a swerve but no, every champion retains again.
