It's that time of year for semi-wrestling fans to start watching wrestling again.

Despite having not followwed anything WWE or TNA related for the past 10 months or so, could somoenone please add me to the list for the Rumble, No Way Out and Mania (if that sort of thing's still happening)?

Had no idea that it was Punk v Rock at the Rumble until a firendly, John Cena loving forumite let me know (thanks Proto :) ) and would very much like to see how it goes down. Any other potential top-tier potential Mania matches kicking around? Or will it all be decided 10 seconds before heading to the ring as seems to be the norm now.

I miss the insane MSN convos we used to have during PPVs - I even remember Wuijibobo correctly calling Edge's MITB cash-in at NYR 2006, the smug bastard.

I also remember watching that till 4am on the Monday and then having to go to school at 9am. :dread:

I think we need another mass MSN convo. It'll be the last major WWE PPV MSN convo ever seeing as MSN Messenger is being officially killed off in March.

I'm up for this. I'll download MSN specially for the occasion.

I'll be ordering the Rumble. Even if Cena wins it, I won't be too bothered if it's a well constructed Rumble - some of the best matches have had odd winners.

I thought about that but I think it will be JBL that enters from the commentary booth instead.

I'm not in work until noon on Monday, so I may take the gamble on staying up for the Rumble.

It was good to see Smackdown actually used to slightly advance a storyline from Raw - just like the old days. You had Punk calling out the Shield which was pretty intriguing and of course Rock and Punk squaring up one last time before the Rumble. I hope the Punk/Rock feud does carry on after the Rumble. It feels like they've only really feuded for the last 2 weeks or so but it's been quality stuff so far.

Yeah indeed. My only concern is that no one will have really seen it as it was on SD. I didn't read the spoilers and had no idea rock or punk would be on SD until I read something earlier. So I only watched because if that. I wonder if people won't have tuned in as they might be expecting another lacklustre SD.

Yeah me neither actually. I don't think they advertised it or anything on Raw so I was quite surprised when they both turned up on Smackdown. Hopefully it's something they do more of this year, especially with the Brand split more of less dead these days.

Still can't decide who to pick for my GRAPL choices  All signs seem to point to a Cena win but part of me thinks it's 'too obvious' for Cena to win. As I said before Jericho seemed just as big a favorite as Cena to win last year and we saw what happened there.

Watching Undertaker's Tombstone collection on Netflix. Hogan no selling the tombstone piledriver at SS 91, I mean literally just jumping straight up. :fp:

There will be a Fan Fest tournament of NXT wrestlers where the winner will be in the Royal Rumble. This takes the place of the original pre-show match, which was to be some sort of a multiple person match where the winner was to be a late addition to the Rumble. That match would have featured both NXT wrestlers and wrestlers on the roster. That was changed in favor of adding Antonio Cesaro vs. The Miz.

I actually like this idea a lot. Give a bit of a rub to someone like Kassius Ohno or Richie Steamboat by having them win this then a decent rumble run.

Agreed, but neither of them are in it. Decent mix of the better WWE products and indie guys in it though.
