Very unsure on the Christian one, but going with Randy because WWE love their 20 time champions. If Sheamus/Beth/Cody/Punk don't all win, something has gone very wrong.

Finally caught up with RAW. What was starting to feel like a pretty lame show was saved by the end. Really enjoyable last segment. I'm enjoying this whole "reality era".

Luckily I still quite like Trips. But unlike most of you guys I stopped watching WWE before HHH starting getting into full gear with his burying of everyone. He was just getting started so I don't hate him that much. Still, I don't really see the need for him in the main event. If he's there just to screw someone over he could have done that anyway without being in the actual match. It really is all about the Game now.

They've played into the IWC's hand. We naturally assume it's Trips' ego, so do Punk and Cena. They could go either way with it really. I don't think Trips will turn on anyone, I think Vince and Laurinaitis will screw someone. Trips will pedigree Laurinaitis.

I felt the same way as you initially, but it has added another layer of intrigue to the match. Like with certain theories about how the Punk-Cena MitB match would end, i actually think it's too obvious for HHH to screw either one of them. I think he'll carry on playing the impartial character that he has been ever since he entered the feud as COO and attempt to call things fair and down the middle.

I do like Skippy's theory though and i'm going to predict that Vince comes back and screws Cena out of the title. Granted Punk was the one who ran down his contract...but i can see maybe a deranged Vince putting the blame solely at Cena's feet for the this entire mess and for getting him fired.

Oh for sure it's not a full gone conclusion that HHH wil screw anyone. I certainly hope not anyway. I do like the idea of a deranged Vince though. Although if he screws over Cena, and that becomes some kind of feud, where would that then leave Punk? That would surely push him out of the spotlight a bit.

Punk would be WWE champion. As long as he's given the time of a champ and tops the card then it'll be fine. I want a Vince/Cena feud as long as it keeps Cena out of the title picture, it lends itself to a HHH heel turn down the line too.

Basically as long as they play the long game and save HHH/Punk for Mania then I'm fine.

According to an article by GreenwichTime.com, Linda McMahon has informed the Connecticut Republican party that she is "99.9%" going to run for Joseph Lieberman's soon to be vacates US Senate seat next year.

Sources say that she has hired Corry Bliss to be her campaign manager.

My theory about SS, based off the rumours that they still want to do Cena/Del Rio and maybe HHH/Punk is that we have our match, Punk wins clean, gets in Trips' face, Trips gives him the pedigree, Del Rio runs down and Trips does the fast count.

For those that haven't seen them, IMPACT WRESTLING tapings for the next 3 weeks:

Tonight

  • Number One Contender's Match for the TNA Knockouts Championship: Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne
  • X Division Championship: Robbie E (with Cookie) vs. Brian Kendrick
  • Bound for Glory Series Match: Beer Money vs. A.J. Styles and Rob Van Dam vs. Devon and D'Angelo Dinero
  • TNA Knockout Tag Team Match: ODB and Jackie Moore vs. Tara and Brooke Tessmacher
  • Bound for Glory Series Four Way Dance: Crimson vs. Gunner vs. Bully Ray vs. Scott Steiner

Impact started with Immortal (Bully Ray, Scott Steiner, Gunner, Abyss, and Ken Anderson) in the ring. Ray calls out Abyss about how he has gone soft because all he seems to do is lose matches. Ray also mentions that there is going to be a Bound for Glory Series Match tonight and it is going to be a Four Way Match with him, Gunner, Scott Steiner, and Crimson. Ray says that he is going to be winning the match because he is on the road to becoming the World Heavyweight Champion.

Ray then turned his attention to Ken Anderson and he said that he had to commend Anderson for being able to take some of the more brutal punishment that Ray had dished out in quite some time. As the promo progressed, Anderson started to laugh at Ray. Ray attacks Anderson before Anderson has the opportunity to do anything. Ray, Steiner, Gunner, and Abyss attack Anderson and beat him up to the point that Anderson had to be stretchered out of the ring.

In a Number One Contender's Match for the TNA Knockouts Title Mickie James defeated Madison Rayne.

In an X Division Title Match, Brian Kendrick defeated Robbie E (with Cookie) to retain the title. Austin Aries joined Taz and Mike Tenay at the announce table to do commentary for the match.

In a Bound for Glory Series Match, Beer Money defeated the team of A.J. Styles and Rob Van Dam and the team of Devon and D'Angelo Dinero when Roode pinned Dinero with the Pay Off. (Roode earns the seven points for the win). Christopher Daniels was at the announce table with Taz and Tenay to provide commentary but he went to the back before the match ended.

The TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle came to the ring to talk about his victory over Sting at Hardcore Justice. Angle apologized to Sting for what happened during the match with the chair after the nice talk that they had last week. Angle says that he meant everything that he said to Sting before Hardcore Justice. Angle did what he did at Hardcore Justice because Dixie Carter lied to him in the past about Jeff and Karen. Angle is not going to let Dixie ever get her company back. Angle walked up the ramp and Sting came out onto the stage. Sting was attacked from behind with a chair by Hulk Hogan. Angle egged on Hogan while Hogan attacked Sting on the ramp to the ring with the chair. Sting had to be helped to the back.

In a non-title match TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions Tara and Brooke Tessmacher defeated ODB and Jackie Moore when Brooke pinned Jackie.

They showed a video of one of the new TNA signees Mr. Pec-Tacular (Jessie Godderz) walking in the back talking about how good looks and how he deserves the best. He goes into catering and he cuts in front of many of the wrestlers who are in line getting food. The wrestlers were not happy with him but Mr. Pec-Tacular ignored their complaints. He then saw some of the Knockouts and he showed himself off to them, but the Knockouts got disgusted with him and walked away.

Jeff and Karen Jarrett come to the ring for a promo. Jeff had the AAA Heavyweight Championship with him and he was wearing ‘traditional' Mexican clothing including a sombrero and a serape. Jarrett then insulted Mexico before bringing out two Mexican janitors to ask them who the King of Mexico is. The janitors did not speak English so they only said ‘Que' to everything that Jarrett said. Eventually they said ‘Guerrero' and that led to Jarrett attacking them. Hector Guerrero came from the Spanish Announce area to help the janitors. Jarrett left the ring when Hector arrived on the scene and Hector helped the janitors.

(The janitors in this segment were Florida independent tag team Los Ben Dejos)

In the main event, in a Bound for Glory Series Match, Crimson defeated Gunner, Bully Ray, and Scott Steiner in a Four Way Match when Crimson pinned Gunner with a rollup. The match was a three-on-one handicap match.

After the match, Kurt Angle came to the ring and he attacked Crimson as the show ended.

August 18

Impact began with Sting coming to the ring with a chair in hand. Sting then fell down the ramp and flop around in the ring jokingly. He takes a mic and says that this is proof that he has lost his mind. He was reenacting what happened to him last week. Everything was a blur to him. He said it was awesome to see the fire in Hogan's eyes. Sting says he and the fans are dying to see Hogan back in the ring. Sting says he want to wrestle Hogan tonight and he encourages the fans to chant Hogan's name.

Ric Flair's music hits and he comes to the ring and gets a mic. Flair questions Sting calling Hogan the greatest of all time. Flair says when Sting got the title ‘Icon' it says that he is a special thing in this business. Flair says Sting is one of the biggest stars in the history of the business. Flair says he know who Sting is and says Sting is a real icon. Flair says he has been asked when he is going to wrestle Sting again. Flair has that itch again to be the greatest in the business.

Flair says that since Dixie can't pay him enough he does not wrestle enough but he wants to wrestle Sting one more time. Flair cuts off Sting before he can speak and puts over Sting for the person that he is. Flair says if he beats Sting, Sting will have to retire and never wrestle again. If Sting beats him, he will serve Sting Hogan's ass on a silver platter. Flair reiterates that if Sting loses, Sting is gone for good and has to go back to California.

Sting takes off his trenchcoat and asks the people what they think. They cheer and Sting accepts.

In a Bound For Glory Series Match: Scott Steiner defeats Devon with his feet on the ropes. After the match, Samoa Joe attacks Devon and puts him in a leg vice. Devon's kids jump the rail and get face to face with Joe. Pope comes down and gets in-between the kids and Joe until Joe exits the ring. Matt Morgan was on commentary for the match.

On the video screen they show Ric Flair going to Hulk Hogan's office and Hogan is mad at Flair. Flair gives Hogan a hug to try to calm him down. Hogan says that he crucified Sting in the middle of the ring last week and he should be dead. Flair says he's got Sting's number. Hogan says he is done with Sting. Flair tells Hogan that he will kick Sting's ass. Hogan says he needs to make sure that Sting is not breathing by the end of the night. Hogan says he will never wrestle Sting again as Flair blows a kiss to him and leaves.

Eight Man X Division Gauntlet for an X Division Title Match.

The Order of Entry was:
Robbie E (with Cookie); Jesse Sorensen; Zema Ion; Mark Haskins; Kid Kash; Anthony Nese; Alex Shelley; and Austin Aries.

The Order of Elimination was:
Robbie E; Mark Haskins; Alex Shelley; Anthony Nese; Zema Ion; and Kid Kash.

Austin Aries and Jesse Sorensen then wrestled for the X Division Title Match. Kid Kash (who was eliminated by Sorensen) came in and hit Jesse with a Moneymaker. Aries tried to get an easy pin but Jesse tried to fight back. Aries got the win with brainbuster.

After the match, Christy Hemme interviewed Aries and he said he was going to take the X Division title from Kendrick. Kendrick came out and the two brawled and had to be separated by security.

Mickie James defeated ODB (with Jackie Moore) with a DDT. During the match, Jackie had opportunities to attack Mickie on the floor, but she refused to do it. After the match, Jackie hesitantly shook Mickie's hand.

In a Bound For Glory Series Match: AJ Styles defeats Rob Van Dam by disqualification. Jerry Lynn showed up midway into the match. AJ had Van Dam beat with the Pele and when he went for the pin, Jerry pulled the referee out of the ring and the referee disqualified Van Dam. Styles yelled at Lynn on his way to the back and Van Dam got face to face with Jerry and exchanged words.

Crimson comes out and is limping because of what Angle did to his knee last week on Impact. Crimson says that it has been a long week. He said he used to have a great deal of respect for someone in the back, but there seems to be some issues they have to discuss. Crimson calls out Kurt Angle.

Angle comes out to the ring and grabs a mic. Crimson says that last week Angle was going to eliminate every young athlete wrestler on the roster and Angle chose him first. He says Kurt failed because he is still standing here and he is pissed. Kurt says that Crimson is a nobody going nowhere. Kurt says he was brought in to make guys like Crimson. Without Kurt Angle, Crimson is nothing but a green-ass little bitch. Angle says he has been making people his entire career and it's gotten him nothing but disrespect.

Crimson says no one has disrespected him. The young guys have put Kurt on a pedestal and he says it's an honor to face him. Kurt says that Crimson can't shine his gold medal and Angle says Crimson is going nowhere in this business. Crimson says he is already somebody. He says that next week, Kurt should meet him in this ring and he will show Kurt who he is and why Crimson is here and the now. He says he is real, he is damn real and leaves.

Jeff and Karen Jarrett join Mike Tenay and Taz to do commentary for the main event.

TNA World Tag Team Title Match: Mexican America (Hernandez and Anarquia [with Sarita and Rosita]) defeated Beer Money (James Storm and Bobby Roode) to become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions. Rosita got involved after Beer Money appeared to have the match won and Beer Money looked to lay her out. Karen Jarrett ran down from the announce table and distracted them from attacking Rosita. Jeff Jarrett ran down to save Karen and he handed the AAA Title to Hernandez who used it to hit Roode while the ref was distracted by Rosita. Hernandez pinned Roode to win the match.

After the match, the Mexican flag dropped and Karen and Jeff celebrated with Mexican America as Impact ended.

August 25

It was thought that the first match was a re-tape of the Gauntlet Match from Tuesday night's taping.

X Division Gauntlet featuring Mark Haskins, Alex Shelley, Robbie E, Zema Ion, Jesse Sorensen, Anthony Nese, Kid Kash, and Austin Aries to determine the Number One Contender for the TNA X Division Title.

The match featured a series of singles matches with the winner of the fall advancing to the next opponent until all eight men were in the match.

Mark Haskins defeated Alex Shelley
Mark Haskins defeated Robbie E
Zema Ion defeated Mark Haskins
Jesse Sorensen defeated Zema Ion
Jesse Sorensen defeated Anthony Nese
Jesse Sorensen defeated Kid Kash
Austin Aries defeated Jesse Sorensen

After the match, Christy Hemme interviewed Aries and he said he would take the X Division title from Brian Kendrick. Kendrick came out and tried to shake Aries' hand. Aries blew him off and the two brawled to the back.

Kurt Angle comes out to the ring and calls out Crimson since Crimson called him out last week. Crimson comes to the ring and takes a mic. Angle said that last week Crimson showed that he had balls. Either that or he is a jackass. Angle says that Crimson wants to be famous. Angle said that tonight he was going to defeat Crimson to end his undefeated streak as well as his career. Crimson says that Angle wants Crimson's respect, and he will get his respect. If he wants to take out the young guys, Angle start with Crimson tonight.

Immortal (Bully Ray, Abyss, Scott Steiner, Gunner, Jeff Jarrett, and Karen Jarrett) comes out and Ray asks Angle if he knows who he is talking to. Ray puts over Crimson's accomplishments. Kurt cuts Ray off and says let him handle it himself. If any of Immortal gets involved with his match tonight, there will be a problem. Angle says to Crimson that it is time to make him famous.

Jackie Moore, ODB, and Velvet Sky defeated Angelina Love, Rosita, and Sarita (with Hernandez) when Velvet pinned Angelina. During the match, Angelina was trying to have ODB and Jackie attack Velvet. Angelina had Velvet beaten and she offered ODB and Jackie a chance to attack Velvet. Instead of attacking Velvet, ODB and Jackie attacked Angelina, allowing Velvet to get the win.

Kid Kash defeated Jesse Sorensen with a roll up using the tights. Christy Hemme interviewed Kash after the match and Kash said that he whipped Jesse's ass, much like he does his son when his son disrespects him. Kash then called Jesse a prick. Jesse got in Kash's face and Kash slapped him. Security broke them up.

In a Bound For Glory Series Match, Rob Van Dam defeated D'Angelo Dinero by submission with a surfboard. Van Dam worked on Dinero's leg throughout the match. Matt Morgan was on commentary during this match

After the match, Joe came out and attacked Dinero. Devon limped down to the ring because of what happened to him last week. Devon's kids are trying to encourage Devon to help Dinero. Devon gets into the ring and Joe leaves. Devon helps Pope to his feet and then Devon leaves.

Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair come to the ring for a promo. Hogan says the main problem that they have right now is that we have a problem and Hogan calls out Sting to the ring. Sting comes to the ring and Hogan says that this thing has gone way too far and it has to end tonight. Hogan says that Sting is not in his right mind. Hogan says this show is a family show and we can't have all this craziness going on. Sting laughs at what Hogan had to say. Hogan says that we have learned from our mistakes and that him and Bischoff will run the company with impeccable precision.

Hogan offers a hand to Sting to end the madness. Sting says that he will do this under one condition. Hogan says anything that Sting wants him to do. Sting says how about milk and cookies, rainbows, unicorns, and then he says he wants flowers. Sting hugs Hogan and even kisses him. Flair throws off his jacket and takes a mic. He says Sting is out of control. Flair says Sting was crazy when he was saying that he was sucking his mother's tit. Sting says that he won't be able to go for the kill on Flair and Flair said he will "kick his f***ing ass."

Sting says he will go through Flair and says he is looking at his calendar and is thinking Bound For Glory for him and Hogan. Flair says tells Sting not to get ahead of himself, but Sting cuts him off and says that's it and tata for now and leaves.

AJ Styles comes out and he wants Christopher Daniels to join him in the ring. Daniels wants a rematch for their match at Destination X in July. AJ criticized Daniels for asking for the match last week while doing commentary. AJ says to let it end here, but he wants to know why Daniels wants the rematch so badly.

Daniels takes the mic and says Destination X was all about competition and it was a great night but he still lost. Daniels asked himself if he even still has what it takes to be in TNA. He wants to know if this is the time to walk away and hang up the boots. He wants to find out in a rematch with AJ and says he came back to TNA, Fortune, and even through a table for AJ. Daniels says that he needs to know if it is the time for him to walk away. Daniels starts to break down and he says that they will do it one more time at No Surrender.

AJ says that he is going to be in the finals of the Bound for Glory Series at No Surrender so they will do it next week on Impact. Styles says that right now he has to kick some Immortal butt.

Bully Ray, Gunner, and Scott Steiner defeated AJ Styles and Beer Money in a Falls Count Anywhere Match when Ray pinned Styles with a Bubba Bomb. The match went all over the Impact Wrestling Zone. Abyss was on the stage watching the entire time.

After the match, Mr. Anderson showed up in a Humvee in the Impact Zone. Anderson sent Steiner through a table and busted open Gunner with a chain. Anderson rubbed Gunner's blood on himself. Ray was shouting at Anderson telling him that he was crazy and Ray walked up the ramp. Ray asked Abyss to do something but Abyss stood there and did nothing.

In a Non Title Match, Crimson defeated TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle by disqualification. Crimson had the pin until Samoa Joe ran out and broke up the pin causing the referee to declare the match a disqualification. Joe continued his attack on Crimson and had a brief stare down with Angle.

Angle left and Joe went back after Crimson. Crimson fought back and Joe exited the ring and stared at Crimson from the ramp.
