We may have seen them have a match at 3 PPVs in a row but I doubt Christian/Orton will be mediocre. Especially in a Street Fight

That's the problem, though.

It will be; it has both Orton and Christian in it - How can it be anything more the mediocre.

20 minutes of Orton having Christian in a sleeper hold by using a TV cable.

Triple H has expressed plans to revamp the WWE Tag Team division according to PWInsdier. The new head of talent development has his sights on recruiting new tag teams and hiring existing teams from other promotions such as ROH and TNA.

If rumors are to be believed WWE has shown interest in signing The Brisco Brothers, although they are signed to ROH and TNA's Beer Money who the company want to jump ship once their contracts are up with TNA.

Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli who WWE recently signed are expected to come in as a tag team.

If Trips brings tag-team wrestling back I'll love him again.

This.

Say what you want about him, but at least Trips seems to hold more traditional values to heart.

Briscoes

Actual tag teams too, please, two singles competitors thrown together is rarely as good as the chemistry of a proper tag team (E&C, Hardyz, Dudleyz, Road Warriors etc)

I cannot see Briscoes in WWE; but it'd be amazing if true - A real tag-team and one of my all time fav teams too. Doing a very good anti-fan heel gimmick right now in RoH

Beer Money/KoW and Briscoes would really kick start a excellent tag-division (one of the reasons Chikara is my fav organisation is a strong focus on tag and multi team matches)

The tag team division was always one of my favourite things about the wwe during the nineties/early 2000's, it been really sad watching its decline towards the second half of the last decade. This is great news if it turns out to be true.

Okay then. Their match at Over the Limit was the best of the series I think (not entirely sure which PPV) I'd put it on the same level as Benoit/Angle from WM17 for example, both four stars. I've seen Benoit/Angle about four or five times in my life. We've all seen specific matches multiple times that aren't classics, so I don't see the problem with seeing Christian and Orton having another good match on PPV. Each one has been different and all of them good.

Point is a good match is a good match and always enjoyable. I don't see the problem. I wouldn't want to see Orton/Christian all year, and we won't. I'd assume that this is the blow-off to that feud.

True, it's just that it's been every PPV. With some TV matches interspersed. Don't get me wrong, they're enjoyable matches- but it's hard to get excited for the...6th match in the series now?

For me, there are two guys I don't care about or enjoy that much in ring (Christian can be good if he has a better opponent, in this case he has a worse opponent) in a story I find to be non existing and a rubber match for a feud that should have died a long time ago - Outside the fact there are no other guys to be pushed, I see this feud going on longer - Unless Orton wins and feuds with Henry

I haven't really enjoyed any of their matches so far and the need to push more stipulations on just goes to show for me that these two guys don't really have anything left to do in the ring, wrestling wise. Why on earth would I want to sit through yet another one

Right now - Punk/Cena, Orton/Christian, Kelly Kelly/beth and Sheamus/Henry are the matches confirmed - that is a horrible line up, mediocre at best. As it stands, I won't watch the PPV - sleep and watch a download the day after. unless they announced 2-3 decent line ups

After SS I reckon Orton will feud with Henry and Sheamus will feud with Christian. Which one is for the title I don't know, it should be the latter though

Same here. I'm really hoping the talk of HHH wanting a revamp is true. I like the Uso's, i feared they'd be dumped after their intial appearance on Raw last year i think it was. I don't know too much about the tag teams mentioned in the article but you guys seem pretty excited by them so fingers crossed they come to the WWE. When we get to the point that we're all actively looking forward to a tag team title match, that's when we know the division has officially seen it's revival :D

On the subject of the Summerslam card...maybe i'm just living in the past but to me it's the second biggest PPV of the year and i think at a push i'd say only two of the 4 matches on the card reflect this. What WWE need to do more of is put more and more effort into building up some midcard storylines as well. Del Rio, Kingston, Truth(to a degree), Miz, etc could all do with being involved in some sort of storyline to help build up their matches during PPV's.

I'd be happy with a Sheamus/Christian feud tbh

Watch RoH's Best in the World - It has The Briscoes/Kings of Wrestling/World's Greatest Tag-Team and the ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NIGHT EXPRESS BABY YEAH! in an excellent 4 corner elimination tag match (and then watch the best wrestling match of the year with Richards/Edwards)

Agree on the tag team stuff. I'd love to see a real tag team division back.

The days when they could put on a survivor series match with the Harts, Bulldogs, Demolition, Strike Force etc in seem a long time ago.

Back then you could watch NWA and see the freebirds, Midnight Express, the Road Warriors etc too. Fantastic era.
