Even if it ever did happen WWE would just make their guys go over TNA's stars.

Pretty much.

Reminds me, KKlein (You seem most likely to know), did ECW get some guys put over/pinned during the time they co-promoted with the then WWF?

When they took over an episode of RAW in 1997 the ECW guys only wrestled between themselves. But the company itself was put over pretty strongly, as was their upcoming PPV.

Taz, who was ECW champion at the time, was beaten and pinned by WWF Champion Triple H on an episode of SmackDown in 2000 however. That was totally ridiculous, but at least Vince McMahon later admitted as much.

IMPACT WRESTLING last night did 1.05 million viewers, a figure so low it's the worst non-holiday rating in the history of the company since moving to prime-time.

How long is Dixie Carter going to stand by and watch Bischoff and Hogan sink the company. There aren't any excuses left. They went Live. They've taken it on the road. They upped the production values. The NFL has finished...and yet the ratings are sinking almost on a weekly basis. The blame now rests solely at the door of Aces and 8s stinking up the joint, and the main event focus being on Sting and Hogan.

Brandon Traven, Percy Watson, Derrick Bateman, Briley Pierce (brother of Dolph Ziggler), Sakamoto and Audrey Marie have all been released from WWE. They were all part of NXT.

I think there's pretty much nothing TNA can do to break out past where they are. They can try to maintain where they are and that is it. Just not enough interest in Wrestling currently.

I think TNA could grow actually, but the current direction doesn't promote growth as they are re-using stars from the 80s and storylines from the 90s.

I have to ask myself, if ECW got the gig on Spike TV rather than TNA, would they be doing any better. My conclusion is that they probably would as they had a more aggressive and progressive attitude.

Um ECW did have a gig on Spike TV years ago, only it was called TNN back then and they basically strawberry floated ECW over and helped put it out of business.

That was a completely different situation. TNN then isn't what Spike is now, it had just then transitioned from being a country music channel of all things.

Review an Impact spoilers: The Gordon phone call

Also, next week's Review a Wai would appear to be a must listen for fans of Kenta. Never seen any of his matches myself so I might watch the ones they are reviewing.

Even though it says he's looking for a third guy, maybe HHH beats Lesnar, Heyman comes out and says "You're no longer the beast you were and i've found someone bigger and stronger and it turns out to be Ryback (the new WWE Champ). :shifty:

TNA is in worse shape now than it was five years ago. I don't think it's true that the market isn't there for them to grow, it's just that everytime an opportunity presents itself they blow it and that drives viewers away. The segment a few weeks back with Bully Ray, Hogan and Sting was horrendous because it was the moment you knew they were going to waste the chance of pushing new talent with the Aces storyline and were just pushing Sting again.
