"I heard Orton had an Awesome match though. Ur welcome. Lol."

"I guess Swagger will use my Ankle Lock as well.Very creative. I'm the Best in the World. You Guys will never be Kurt Angle.can I get an AMEN."

"Kurt Angle will never die. TNA. WWE. I'm a leader. Not follower."

"Why would WWE use my finishes? Is it because I won't go back? R Orton- Angle Slam. M Cole- Ankle Lock? They have some nerve."

"Jerry Lawlor did it too. But He is a Legend. WWE really stuck it to Me.No Love lost. I'm glad that I helped Your biggest Event of the Year:)"

I'll be honest, considering WWE is really rather gooseberry fool constantly, I enjoyed last nights event. For the first time in a long time they had a decent solid under and start mid card, then it all fell apart after that (It really was an overly extended episode of RAW as mentioned, and a lot of the constant segment cut aways back stage, if done in other promotions would have been crapped all over by many people, but ignored because it's the wwe - not hinting at anyone here btw, just people I know irl). I don't get the HHH/Taker loving either, was rather lacklus imo (However, the effort they put in cosidering their physical states was to be appluaded at least) Also they made be a believer in Cody Rhodes as well, which is a helluva job

Again, better then a few years WWE, but only beucase the lower card stuff was much better then usual

It's as if Ken Shamrock never existed to Mr Angle

The same Ken Shamrock who won the NWATNA title the firs time and used the same move before Angle in TNA

I love Kurt, I really do - but he's strawberry floating mental at the best of times

Isn't that now 4 years in a row where the Rumble winner has failed to win the title at Mania?

It is indeed. Royal Rumble to go the way of the Survivor Series at this rate...

John Cena won in 2008 & was defeated at WrestleMania 24 by Randy Orton (however Cena did technically cash in his title shot at No Way out, in which he won by DQ)
Randy Orton won in 2009 & was defeated at WrestleMania 25 by Triple H
Edge won in 2010 & was defeated at WrestleMania 26 by Chris Jericho

It's weird. The Rumble was getting quite stale because of how it was booked with the winner always winning the title at WrestleMania. Their solution is apparently to pretty much ruin it by making sure no one who wins the match goes on to win the title at Mania. Or main event the damn thing anymore.

Not to mention the titles are on the line the following month at the PPV anyway. The WWF had the right idea at No Way Out of Texas in 1998 when the WWF title wasn't contested at all.

It's not about wrestling anymore. You know what it can be, I know what it can be but it just isn't that anymore. The biggest event of the year has been gooseberry fool for what, 3 years now atleast and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I can't see much change until the big players step aside with replacing them with people who know what wrestling is all about

This is coming across like a recruitement drive  Sorry about that

UFC does nothing for me. Far to brutal to watch. /pansy

I don't think it's been gooseberry fool for all 3 years :? HBK Taker

UFC never appeals to me at all

It's frankly boring, it's not really that realistic is it despite every banging on that it is, if it was a real street fight that gooseberry fool would not happen would it? :| Fighters fight what three or twice a year? Wrestlers every night 8-). Regards to feuds, you have nothing like someone talking trash, then running in a match and slamming them costing them a title do you ;)

The amount of people who now do MMA training to go kick ass is ridiclous also :fp: Wrestling FTW

I tend to watch/record most UFC PPVs on ESPN and have no idea where to watch any other kind of MMA, but typically don't find it all that exciting. I'm feeling a general apathy towards combat sports and pro wrestling as a whole I think.

 :fp: Right, I have no idea what you're watching or what you think you have watched but what you described it ain't. I can totally see Proto's position, tha's fine. It's not for everybody. Yes, fighters fight 2/3 times a year but you don't just follow one or two fighters, there is a huge range of personalities. Infact, I'm pretty sure if wrestling was broken down into seasons with atleast 3 months off I would bet big bucks that there would be better storylines, less stress for the wrestlers and more risks to be taken in the ring.

No Trash talking? You're kidding me right? I'll leave the 'costing someone the match' comment becuase we all know how gooseberry fool that has gotten. To say Mania hasn't been gooseberry fool for a while now is just plain wrong. OK, bar that match it's been terrible, the product has been terrible. You can't have one good week and 3 bad ones

but I don't really understand how the point system works

I don't think no one knows the exact system

Check the sig ;) Seriously, if you want a good recommendation I'm sure someone will help in there

Like arn't you guys interested in how Brock get's on? It's so exciting when he fights. The latest series of The Ultimate Fighter has him as one of the coaches and his next match should be a cracker

Take this fan promo [I couldn't find the real one but it's the same sort of thing] for Brock/Mir Trilogy [not his next fight]

You're telling me you wouldn't be hyped for that?

Does anyone know if the promo video before Miz's entrance has been posted online yet? Was a great little video package.

While I agree with that, it's not that bad compared to what wrestling belts are worth. Hell, what happened to the intercontinental title? I remember that belt signified the talents of the best up and coming talent, some incredible matches. Is it even still used

You are an imbecile.

I watch MMA, I just don't post in the relevant thread. I'm reticent to compare the two to be honest, but let's face it, MMA is light years ahead of the WWE in literally every category that they can be compared. And even Ultimate Fighter is more entertaining for stories and drama than your average episode of Raw.

The problem with MMA is that it isn't easy to get into. Average joe who knows nothing about wrestling can watch Wrestlemania. You try getting someone with no interest in martial arts to watch a fight on the ground.

Fair point calling me an imbecile then not even saying how. I made a point saying it's unrealistic to a real fight which many people plaud as it's cool feature against wrestling. Cretin

For those wondering, the WWE did not actually set the attendance record for the Georgia Dome. Yes, they lied. That number they announced isn't a record, & the number they announced is in-itself possibly a lie as well. LYING BASTARDS.
