End of an era

For those who predicted eight months in the polls regarding when Hulk Hogan arrived in TNA, you got it right.

On his 57th birthday, Hogan just announced on twitter, "I know you've heard the rumors brothers and they are true. Eric and I are leaving TNA on a mutual basis. I just got out of meetings now. It was really fun but time to move on. TNA has new leadership coming in. Make sure you Hulkamaniacs still support them. TNA needs the power of Hulkamania to live on brothers."

This message came 16 hours after several message he twittered yesterday pushing that he was stayijng. Last night he posted, "Yes, some of the EV 2.0 guys are sticking around, but so is Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and the rest of the TNA crew dudes." Later he wrote "Dixie and I both love what we do, we get along great dudes. All the power to TNA."

Bischoff is now claiming that the Hulk Hogan Twitter account that HE linked to is in fact an imposter, and they aren't leaving TNA.

If Bischoff, Hogan etc. spent as much time writing a decent show as they did trying to prove how smart they are, we'd have a cracking TV show.

The only good thing about Hogan is that he can't book himself in matches because he's too old. Tommy Dreamer can. And probably will. No offence to Dreamer, but he has no place in the main event scene whatsoever. History tells us that when wrestlers are in control of the pen, they can't help but put themselves over to the detriment of everyone else.

WWE SmackDown on the 30th July (featuring an entertaining Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger main event) did a 1.6 rating. Yes, a 1.6.

Sting & Nash came out for a promo. Nash made a comment about how after 25 years in the business, he’s not in it for the money. You know, after the last few years of booking his character about being about nothing but the money. Nash said that people have called him a cancer to the business (insider reference No. 454) but said the cancer is in the back. Before he can say who the cancer is, out came Jarrett. Jarrett said that Nash only cares about himself and that Sting has a closet full of skeletons. Jarrett said he founded the company, and then Bischoff and Hogan came in and made the company even better. He grabbed a chair and threatened to go after both guys. Hogan then came out and said he’s with Jarrett and they went to the ring. The lights went out. Apparently the way the building is set up, even with the lights darkened, everyone could see Fortune running into the ring and also see both Jarrett and Hogan just lay down with nobody touching them. Well, Nova said it best on the PPV, it’s wrestling and it doesn’t matter.

Wonder if that'll be obvious on TV. Probably not.

Current plans suggest Jack Swagger will be feuding with Matt Hardy.

Defeated by Rey Mysterio on the 23rd July, wasn't on the show last week, loses to MVP this Friday & now he's going into a feud with Matt freaking Hardy. What a demotion. He's had one of the most backhanded pushes since...well, I can't even remember when. His World Title run was beyond abysmal.

Everyone thought Vince Russo was bad, but he's nothing compared to Eric Bischoff today.

Bischoff should have quit altogether once his WWE deal was up. I was even fooled though into thinking he'd be good for TNA.

@TNADixie continues to pretend that nothing is wrong, but Nashville is going nuts right now.

Me and my boys are elated to see that we have caught the attentions of the Internet Wrestling Community and TNA offices.

TNA can hear us. But they certainly ignore us backstage and backstage they have nothing to lose, here they do.

The entire TNA staff just got emails asking us to send them our Twitter usernames if we have one.

Everything he/she is saying is true by the way, but easily could have been accessed from newsletters/internet reports. Apparently Eric Bischoff is a complete disaster backstage & is hated by everyone. The individual is sure going to a lot of effort if he's a faker. There's a possibility this is Hogan's real Twitter account, but someone has gained access/guessed his password.

I feel a bit sorry for Lacey Von Erich. She has no business being in the ring, she's an absolute disaster, & worst of all she probably realises she sucks...it must be embarrassing. And it's a taped show - there's really no excuse. If this was the WWE they would have at least attempted a salvage job on it.
