Cheers for that. I know what I'll be watching tonight, then. We can all be astounded at her naivety/stupidity.

Gonna give RAW a watch seeing as everyone's bumming it. Good to see more Sheamus love. Wasn't a fan at first, but he grew on me rather quickly since coming to RAW. Oh and Sheamus > Orton by far.

The reviews I've seen for it say it's really annoying, and you'll be shouting at the screen.

Q: What is TNAs mission statement?
Dixie: To become the pre-eminent wrestling company in the world and to do so with professionalism and integrity.

Professionalism and integrity

Does she even watch the shows?!

TNA are turning a profit apparently. Hmmmmmmm.

Well, they certainly were turning a profit before Hogan et al came along.

As for RAW. It was much better than the last show I watched, but I don't find any of it interesting anymore. Sheamus acting like a dweeb for Orton is just taking the piss :x decent promo until Mr. Boredom came to the ring however. The end was alright, fans were really into it though. Suppose I would have liked it more if I had seen things unfold over the past few weeks, but meh. The shaky camera is annoying as hell, and makes it look like the wrestlers are powering up DBZ style

Oh, and Bourne . Just a shame he never seems to win a match. :(

She says that she drug tests herself. I'd like to see the result of her test, and Russo's.

On that note, I've uncovered documents relating to the methodology of TNA's drug testing. It gets pretty heavy, but it's still worth a read.

At the end of the day, I'd trust Dave Meltzer & Wade Keller over a woman that admits to drug testing herself.

Plus, where is the money coming from? House Show business is doing okay, but that can't possibly be covering everything else - especially in a year they've spent more money than ever before. They were just about turning a profit when Kurt Angle came in. Factor in all the new talent, the massive expense of going Live, production improvements, PPVs that are most certainly operating at a loss...either she's lying or, God forbid, she needs a new accountant. SpikeTV have pumped money in too, for absolutely no benefit. Pay for Hogan...& their ratings go down. I bet that was a hilarious board meeting.

Overall I'm disappointed. She seems to blanket with the same excuses that we know are bullshit (minute by minute ratings, you aren't there). There are no answers. It's the same marketing crap you've heard before. The only comment I did like was about the ring where she admits that people were suckers for buying into it enabling wrestlers to do more moves etc.

Weird moments are when she mentions reaction being their new show and talks as if it will be around for a while. It lasted a week. Also saying that Scot Hall's health is fine

The episode of Reaction was just a pilot. It's being shown weekly now or in the near future. The Scott Hall line is a joke  He was in hospital with pneumonia or something less than a month ago, and it's being said that that is most likely a cover-up for OD'ing or a suicide attempt.

She talks about it as if it's a permanent fixture. No mention of just being a pilot.

The Scott Hall line wasn't a joke.

For Dixie Carter to go on so much about the minute-by-minute ratings makes me convinced Vince Russo has been in her ear, as he was (and probably still is) also obsessed.

Their attitude to Pay Per View is similar to WWE's. Because they're dying on PPV, they think it's a dying or dead business full stop. Meanwhile UFC continues to go from strength to strength every month, & boxing can still draw if the match-up is right. Wrestling on PPV is only declining so quickly because the writing & match-ups are either so bad nobody is willing to pay money to watch it, or the company themselves keep treating them as an afterthought. Suvivor Series last year didn't die on its arse because the name or concept is outdated, it died because the weeks leading up to it were centred around comedy & Hornswoggle (now there's someone we thankfully haven't seen in a while). Fatal Four Way bombed because basing a PPV lazily around four way matches, with very little storyline development or involvement, was epically flawed from the outset.

Credited to PWTorch wrote:Some wrestlers are saying that Tommy Dreamer has specifically stated in phone conversations that he’s “inches away” from taking over the head writer’s position currently occupied by Vince Russo. He has told some of his former ECW colleagues that he has ideas for them and there is a chance they will get contracts with the organization.

I have a theory. Vince Russo knows that Dreamer is going to be so incredibly awful, Dixie's going to have to bring him back. And who'll end up looking like the 'saviour of the company' again? Exactly.

Get ready for more TNA bullshit, folks. The TNA World Heavyweight Championship has been...

Source: Wrestling Observer

...vacated. TNA is doing a storyline where Rob Van Dam has vacated the TNA title due to injuries suffered from the Fortune and friends beat down at last night's TV tapings. They filmed a segment of Van Dam going out in an ambulance and are doing an injury angle.

They will be doing an eight-man tournament that will end on the 9/5 PPV show. Four first round matches will be taped on tonight's show including Kurt Angle vs. Douglas Williams.

Belts don't change hands during matches in this company. They're either vacated, or change during rounds of Deal or No Deal. I presume there's numerous real-life possibilities. Van Dam is genuinely injured, he's failed some sort of drug test, his contract is up (now wouldn't that be amusing), doesn't want to do the job...or TNA are just strawberry floating imbeciles.

Poor Angelina.

Can you imagine the kind of overly perverse person she'd end up talking to? *downloads and applies* :shifty:

So because they couldn't get Heyman on board they've decided to make do with Dreamer? Having him work an office job would be alright, and he's not complete trash in the ring like a lot of others his age, but he should in no way be the creative face of a company. Still, he can't be any worse than Russo, surely?

Wasn't Angeline love awarded the Knockout title twice this year after it was vacated or stripped of someone's possession? If they start this bullshit with the World or X-Division titles I will be massively pissed off.

Just put on some decent matches and stop trying to out-WWE the WWE. :(

Raw rating was a 3.3. So the fact it was the go-home show & a return to Live programming made absolutely no difference.

It's back to being delayed/taped for the next two weeks.
