WWE RAW Ratings Breakdown 15th October

Quarter 1: Show kicked off at a 3.1 (Jim Ross vs. The Michael Cole Challenge), so the majority were well aware the show was starting at 8.
Q2: Lost 582,000 viewers (Sin Cara & Kofi Kingston vs. Cody Rhodes & Hunico)
Q3: Gained 108,000 viewers (Dolph Ziggler vs. Mason Ryan)
Q4: Gained 1,351,000 viewers (Mick Foley's return/John Cena: This Is Your Life). Show was now at a 3.7.
Q5: Lost 660,000 viewers (The return of The Rock/Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger) to a 3.3.
Q6: Gained 9,000 viewers (Kelly Kelly vs. Natalya)
Q7: Lost 133,000 viewers (John Laurinaitis & Alberto Del Rio; Miz & R-Truth interview in which they said nothing; Del Rio attacking C.M. Punk)
Q8: Gained 601,000 viewers (Big Show & Punk vs. Mark Henry & Del Rio)
Q9: Lost 696,000 viewers (Kevin Nash)
Q10: Lost 128,000 viewers (Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett)
Q11/12: Gained 1,434,000 viewers (The Rock/Miz & R-Truth/Cena) closed the show on a 4.0.

UK Ratings for the week ending 6th November 2011...

IMPACT WRESTLING pulled in a monumental 321,000 viewers; 116,000 tuned in to WWE RAW Live!; the Thursday repeat drew 45,000; WWE SmackDown garnered 124,000 on Friday night; WWE Vintage Collection pulled in 28,000 following RAW Live; and 47,000 watched WWE Bottom Line (RAW) on Friday. A lot of people still conditioned to watching wrestling on a Friday night, thus seemingly watch Bottom Line rather than RAW itself.

The Raw ratings basically say that people thought The Rock would be opening or closing the show then? (by opening I mean the start of the regular 2 hour slot)

Kevin Nash = ratings! :fp:

Cheers KK, I guess the figures for Raw would be a lot higher with DVR included. Most weeks for example I record it and watch the next day skipping the ads.

I think that is the best way to watch Raw. The adverts are an absolute joke and at that time of the morning are a killer. Raw isn't half as bad with the benefit of skipping ads.

I agree. Although its probably more affected here because of its start time, it does make me wonder how many Americans must also record raw and watch later when u look at the competition it has in the states that kk posted a couple of pages ago. Football, house, castle dancing with the stars etc. There must be quite a few that record it.

CM Punk seems to be mentioning DVR viewership almost every week. It's not the only strange thing the WWE is doing as of late; purposely booking shitty segments, & then admitting they're gooseberry fool, is insane. If it was leading somewhere - i.e. improvements & changes - then great. But so far...

  • We've got segments that go on forever & absolutely suck (booked twice on RAW to suck, just so CM Punk & The Rock could both come out & tell the fans, who were agreeing - particularly in the front row - that the show sucked, that yes, the show does indeed suck).
  • A lead announcer that we're constantly reminded by all & sundry is terrible, & that the company would be better off with Jim Ross. Reminds me, anyone else see the sign in the crowd Monday which read "Stop bullying Jim Ross"?
  • A WWE Champion that is so mind numbingly boring & one dimensional, viewers should fast forward him as well.
  • Meanwhile, Kevin Nash is a ratings killer (second week in a row now). Knowing them they'll mention that on air next week, only to have him continue to come out anyway.

Did you notice when Bully Ray was talking and Steiner was just standing there, when he said 'keep flexing' to Steiner he genuinely started to laugh before starting to flex again?

I do miss being able to Sky + Raw and especially skip through the adverts and stuff. There really is a ridiculous amount of adverts during Raw. Literally every 5 minutes. :x A wrestler walks down the ramp - there's an ad break. A Wrestler performs a move - then there's another bloody ad break. :x

I always find the ratings breakdown pretty interesting. They seem to tune in especially at the start and at the end....but generally just flirt in and out of the show during the middle part. Can't really blame them to be honest because it does seem the most significant parts of Raw always happen at the beginning and the end.

BEHOLD! The best wrestling blu-ray of all time (probably on par with the Bret/Shawn dvd anyway) has just been released. At £22.99 you get the definitive SCSA interview and a shitload of matches. At 12hrs 26mins this is a must for any Austin wrestling fan.

This weeks Raw had one of the most frustrating. Big Show is getting the best of Mark Henry, Henry makes a desperate tag to Del Rio, who then looks at Henry with disgust. He doesn't want to get in the ring with Show, he'll get torn to pieces! Looking forward to see how Del Rio worms out of thi-AD BREAK.

We come back and Punk is in the ring with Del Rio.

strawberry float OFF.

I don't think any of them do. And I'm the only one of them who still watches it.

I'll sort something out. I can't miss it.
