Sounds like a decent Raw. Ill be watching my recording tonight! I wonder if the last 48 hours of storylines are due to the big shake up Vince did last week?

On the basis of his recent matches in TNA, that would be no.

This. Even though I am admittedly a HUGE RVD mark, even I'm not really excited by news of his return.

I did outline this to someone last night, but essentially, he won't be coming close to the standard of matches he was able to have from 1998-2002 due to the style that he is known for. Talent have a very limited window with that style in particular which they are able to offer their best in. After which they need to change their style in order to prolong their career and to avoid their matches looking like poor versions of the ones they had in their prime.

RVD hasn't done this and his matches suffer as a result.

Every time I have seen RVD on TNA in the last year he has looked as high as a kite. I can't see his new WWE stint ending well.

I think there's a chance the current WWE roster is going to show him up. Plus how will his arrogant attitude play in today's environment? The last time he was in WWE full time was 2007. Plus he has a tendency to be rather stiff with his kicks..

Not that you would be able to notice watching it Live in real-time (the excuse I'm using for not seeing it), but Kaitlyn's nipple slightly popped out last night:

The Attitude Era is back! Or something.

Henry's segment
Ziggler as a face
Punk as a face
Lesnar v Punk at Summerslam more or less confirmed

Pretty successful night!

I really want Henry to win the title. Just can't see them doing it as they probably want Cena to break Punk's record. :fp:

Ratings up for the WWE slightly last night. RAW averaged 4,153,000 viewers.

Hour 1: 4,030,000
Hour 2: 4,260,000
Hour 3: 4,170,000

Probably a 3.0-3.1.

And despite Dave Meltzer initially thinking it was a work and the scheduled finish on today's free Wrestling Observer Radio, it turns out my impressions watching RAW were correct, and Bryan was actually injured...

F4Wonline.com wrote:Daniel Bryan was injured in his match with Randy Orton last night and the finish was essentially a shoot as they stopped a match that Daniel was scheduled to win. The story online that he suffered a stinger is legit. WWE has added the storyline that he went backstage and had a huge argument with HHH about the match being stopped, with him saying he'd worked through plenty of injuries in his career and Hunter took away his biggest-ever win.

This obviously makes up for the fact I missed Kaityln's tits falling out.

WWE SmackDown Tapings

Daniel Bryan started off SmackDown by talking about having his matches stopped on RAW Monday. He claims he's never had a match stopped before and feels it only happened because he is considered the "weak link". Bryan went on to say that Randy Orton should never have accepted the official's decision but instead he "tapped me on the head like a dog". Tonight, he wants to face Randy Orton and prove that he is not the weak link. Orton comes out and claims he helped Bryan on Monday "out of respect" but tonight, Bryan will be wheeled out on a stretcher.

Match 1: Sheamus tapped out Cody Rhodes with the Cloverleaf. Damien Sandow tried to distract Sheamus but it backfired. After the match, Sandow attacked Sheamus.

Another Wyatt vignette aired.

Miz was on commentary.

Match 2: Curtis Axel defeated Wade Barrett. After the match, Miz tried to challenge Axel but Heyman intervened and said that his client doesn't fight for free.

Match 3: AJ Lee defeated Natalya with the Black Widow for the submission victory.

Backstage, Aksana was bugging Kaitlyn so Kaitlyn beat her up.

Match 4: Alberto Del Rio vs. Chris Jericho ended in Disqualification when both Rodrigo and Dolph Ziggler interfered. Del Rio was announced the winner. After the match, Del Rio ran away and Jericho ended up hitting the Codebreaker on Ziggler, who is presumably still a heel. Del Rio then came back to assault Ziggler and stood over him.

Match 5: Christian defeated Drew McIntyre via the Killswitch. After the match, Christian cut a promo about being back but The Shield came out and triple Powerbombed him.

Backstage, Renee Young attempted to interview Paul Heyman. Heyman wasn't happy about being asked about CM Punk and didn't want to talk about it on TV.

Main Event: Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton via Count Out.

After the match, Bryan asked for the match to be restarted but the referee refused and walked off.

Awesome ending to Raw :datass: Didn't expect that confrontation to happen so soon. When Lesnar picked up the mic I was thinking :dread: But as oer usual they let his actions do his talking. I reckon in the ring him an Punk will put on an awesome match (more importantly good to see him in a fresh feud since his return) and storyline wise I can't wait to see Heyman and Punk go at it on the mic. I'm guessing next week Heyman will play dumb and claim he had no idea that Lesnar was there, etc.

Overall I thought it was a pretty good Raw. Henry had me completely fooled like everyone else  Nice to see Vince bigging up the Shield. So many different authority figures on Raw though  :dread: Good to hear Bryan isn't too seriously injured. You could tell something wasn't right with him towards the end of the match, only problem is these days you don't know if it's a work or legit.

Just watching raw now. Why does Stephanie keep wearing heels down to the ring, it makes her look like a giraffe as she plods down to the ring trying not to fall over.

Slater totally copying Punk's new look.

Stephanie was absolutely awful this week, worst person of the show.

Aw this rip cut out the 1800 Fella ad, I wanted to see how bad it was.
