I thought the Cell looked a bit bigger than usual. This PPV's going to blow so hard.

Not to mention the fact that Orton has been in the match before and Cena hasn't. They'll ignore anything to make that boring, bland Rock wannabe look superhuman. :fp:

Yeah, they replaced the Hell in a Cell in 2006 with this new, somehow inexplicably shitter-despite-the-original-having-a-bowing-roof 20ft JAIL edition.

And they've once again suggested a roof bump, which probably won't happen on the night - especially as the Cell is now about 5ft higher (the point of that being?). They've stuck a chain around the inside of the entire thing too, which is annoying as hell because it rattles against the side of the mesh.

Up until 2002, the main attraction of the Hell in a Cell match was because you knew they would leave & end up on the roof.

Was it the Lesnar/Taker match that broke that tradition? I remember it being one of, if not the only, the matches that took place completely inside the Cell since KOTR '98.

Can I just say how much I really hated that segment with DX and Legacy? I really like the initial bit where Legacy were doing a damn good job of putting themselves, DX and the match on the PPV over. Then DX butt their stupid faces in and ruin it, making Rhodes and Dibiase look like shite again. What a load of wank.

Nope, IIRC that was the last match to feature top of the cell action. Brock F5'd Taker on top of it to win.

What the strawberry float am I thinking about then? Maybe it's that then - it was the last match to see them go outside rather than...er...stay inside?

Brock celebrated with the title on the cell, can't remember him F5ing Taker on it.

Maybe I'm dreaming then. I swear I can recall Taker bleeding like mad on top of the cell...

I can remember that too! Didn't happen though.

I miss the days of when The Undertaker, Y2J and so on were the dominant force within the WWE. Sure I've got to move on but to what? John Cena no-selling after taking some Hogan Juice

In the Triple H vs Chris Jericho match, the door was opened with bolt cutters to allow the removal of legitimately injured referee Tim White. This was the last Hell in a Cell match where the wrestlers climbed and fought on top of a cell, and the first and only Cell match where someone (Chris Jericho) got pinned on top of the cell. - Judgement Day, 2002

In the Edge vs The Undertaker match, Edge launched himself from the steel ring steps and speared The Undertaker crashing through the cell wall and landing outside the cell. - SummerSlam, 2008

I was right:

According to The Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta has made an official bid to host WrestleMania 27 in 2011. The site would be the Georgia Dome, which was host to the largest WCW crowd ever. Atlanta is trying to position themselves as a possible host city for the event every four to six years.

Hogan/Goldberg on Nitro, in case you were wondering. Still holds the record for the largest crowd to watch a weekly wrestling event on cable TV.

One of the greatest nights in professional wrestling, period. I can still remember the crowd for that one

On the other end of the spectrum, I think i'm done with wrestling for the time being. WWE is going down the completely the wrong path, made for kids now. Also did I hear that Rev Al sharpton was host on Raw!?!? I mean, what the flying strawberry float thought that was a good idea. While over at TNA, since the Somoa Joe screw job I have just had enough with the stupid storylines and abolishment of the X division.

May checkout again at Bound For Glory but for now i'm retiring from the scene

The July 6th Nitro is certainly the night WCW peaked as a company. Never have the WWE given away such a monumental main event on free television. Yes, it was incredibly stupid (it could have done a monster buy rate at Bash at the Beach or Starrcade), but for the 3 hours of television that night created, I wouldn't change it for anything. On that edition of Nitro, everything - from the crowd, to the wrestlers - worked in perfect harmony.

No idea. But at the end he does mention that he will be hosting raw at some point.
