I inevitably fell asleep and missed the entire PPV. Should I bother downloading it? Ending sounds terrible.

Main Event is still a great match, despite the ending.

Wrestling wise, I thought the main event was excellent. I was engrossed for the entire thing, Daniel Bryan had a phenomenal showing, & considering Nexus had the weight of the world on their shoulders & are all massive green-horns, they held it together surprisingly well.

Booking wise however, this show was dire. A no-contest, a DQ, the drubbing of SES, the INFURIATING finish of the Elimination Match...When you consider this was a very important PPV for the WWE in a number of areas (storyline, buyrates), they completely blew it. I think it’s a dead cert SummerSlam is going to do a decent buyrate, but all it means is that more people will have seen this disappointing show. “Well if this is the best the WWE can put on for their 3rd biggest PPV, then those other shows must really be gooseberry fool”.

I mean where do Nexus go from here? Why would you even care? They emphatically lost. There are no excuses. They had run-ins, they had a cohesive advantage...the decked was STACKED in their favour & yet they still lost. Clean.

Nexus can still bounce back from this, they looked strong and only lost to the biggest star in the business. Having watched the match again I think the hit that Nexus have taken with this loss (which I don't think is as big as people would like to think) is more than made up by the MASSIVE push Bryan got.

What a load of crap that main event was, im sick of the wwe writers, i would give them 1 out of 10 for creativity and imagination, i only wanted to watch as i thought that the nexus had to have a wwe wrestler behind them and maybe it would have been worth watching over the next couple of months but the wwe stayed true to form by making cena out to be a superhero. So what was the point of the whole nexus thing, "the big picture"????? and i wish the wwe would axe micheal cole, he goes on about the jiz as if he where married to him, i would understand if he was a decent wrestler but he only likes the jiz because of the carry on with bryan on the first season of nxt, the sooner the wwe sack the writers and hire better ones i can't see it getting better at all only worse

Below is WWE.com's take on the 7 man tag. They actually make it sound good  One question though, they say the following of Daniel Bryan
After all, the season one WWE NXT Rookie had been betrayed and attacked by his fellow Rookies – The Nexus – and remained forgotten in the wake of the group’s carnage.

Have they just completely made this up? wasn't he just fired with no explanation (storyline wise) or did Nexus make out that they had beaten him up?

LOS ANGELES - The name Daniel Bryan was a footnote, relegated to Internet message boards and obscure wrestling trivia. After all, the season one WWE NXT Rookie had been betrayed and attacked by his fellow Rookies – The Nexus – and remained forgotten in the wake of the group’s carnage. But now, Bryan is a man no one in WWE will ever forget. For it was he who joined Team WWE as their seventh man, helped dismantle The Nexus in an unforgettable 7-on-7 Elimination Tag Team Match and likely helped save Monday Night Raw.

As The Nexus have wreaked their particularly insidious strain of chaos, intimidation and ruthlessness on Raw, the group, including Wade Barrett, Skip Sheffield, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Darren Young, Heath Slater and Michael Tarver, appeared to be rushing toward total domination. The only roadblock? Team WWE and the determination of John Cena, Bret Hart, Edge, Chris Jericho, John Morrison and R-Truth. While the WWE squad faltered and fragmented in the weeks leading up to SummerSlam, they nonetheless united around a single purpose: Break The Nexus.

Going into the night, Team WWE’s seventh man remained a mystery. The Miz was convinced it was he who would be tapped, which made him all the more apoplectic when Cena revealed that the seventh man was actually Bryan.

As the audience in the STAPLES Center roared their approval, Bryan took his place alongside his new teammates. Despite a shrewd strategy employed by The Nexus, the group simply could not overcome their veteran counterparts and the momentum accompanying Bryan (despite an attack on Bryan from The Miz during the match). With looks of shock and dismay, the members of The Nexus were humbled as, one-by-one, they found themselves eliminated from the bout until finally all seven were forced to admit defeat.

The victory proved vital for Team WWE, demonstrating that the myriad Superstars are capable of setting aside their differences in the pursuit of defending what they hold dear. And despite the bruising loss, it’s also safe to assume that the WWE Universe hasn’t heard the last of The Nexus – or one Daniel Bryan.

Cena has become the new Hulk Hogan. A 2 on 1 advantage, a DDT on the concrete (bear in mind Mark Henry was sidelined for being whipped into the steel steps), Jericho & Edge turning their back on the team & beating him up...& by the end of the evening, the show is going off the air with Cena on top smiling his head off. This even defies the old Wrestling 101 rulebook as Team WWE were the last ones to get the upper hand on Raw, Monday.

Storyline wise, this match was two-fold. Either they rid the WWE of Nexus, or Nexus take over. That was the core selling point of this PPV. To move this forward, they're now going to have to circumvent this result so it means absolutely nothing, have Nexus beat everyone up again, all just so they're back to where they were at the beginning.

It's back to square 1 for Nexus. Last night stunted their momentum in a big way.

Unless it's a huge swerve and Cena turns tonight on RAW. But that would make no sense. I'm sure there will be some shocking twist though to get Nexus their heat back.

I agree. I don't understand where the storyline will now go, if Nexus continue to terrorise and feud with Cena then this match was pointless as this is the kind of match that puts an end to a storyline not used in the middle. Or Nexus now fall apart and the wrestlers go their separate ways, if that's the case then this storyline was been completely rushed and wasted.

Well next month is an all-Champions match show, so I'm guessing a three way/four way with Wade Barrett. Or something.

So Sheamus, Orton, Cena & Barrett then. Also i didn't see SS, what happened with the Miz, did he not attempt to cash in?

Weird because the whole Miz & Orton storyline has revolved out The Miz saying that he would cash in against the champion as soon as the match finishes.

I'm guessing that we will see Miz lose his US title soon to Bryan and then maybe cash in a few months time or something. Shame as i kinda wanted a Miz & Orton fued.
