3 minutes into Impact and there's an awesome chant were it isn't due. Getting really sick of these idiots now.

If you look at the crowd, you can see it's the same diehards every single taping.

When WCW used to tape Saturday Night, at least they had a revolving door of theme park goers. I'm presuming there's some sort of age restriction in place too - it's hardly family friendly (& there's your other problem tight there; who goes to theme parks? Families. During the day. Not late at night in the evening. And certainly not to be referred to as arseholes).

I think TNA would look great from the Manhattan Centre. But then knowing TNA, they'd try & recreate ECW again.

One of Howard Finkel's specialities: The Tuxedo Match. This one was against Lilian Garcia. If nothing else, the commentary is hilarious.

Anyone remember when Chris Jericho had Howard doing all sorts of ridiculous things? It was mostly on SmackDown in 1999, so we only ever got the highlights on Livewire. If memory serves correctly he started this ridiculous feud with Tony Chimel.

I miss Howard Finkel; sod off Justin Roberts - someone who sounds like he's having an orgasm every time he pronounces John Cena's name...

Up to the European Championship match, heel Eddie Guererro and his Latino Heat music

Comedy Edge & Christian

It always annoys me how badly the WWE used Raven, he was brilliant in WCW and ECW.

This is just like the WCW VHS situation. It's absurd the WWE aren't re-releasing this stuff, or letting SilverVision stick them under Tagged Classics. People want to buy them.

I'd snap up the ECW PPVs in a heart beat if they did that.

The only downside I suppose would be the editing, mainly the music - because somehow a 'billionaire' can't afford Metallica.

They'd probably have a field day with the bleep machine on this...

The ECW Rise & Fall DVD was very inconsistent in that regard. strawberry float was bleeped one minute, & then left in the next.

Actually, just noticed that they haven't changed the WWF logo to WWE on the bottom left of the screen on this Wrestlemania DVD. Didn't they used to do that, or something similar when showing clips on RAW etc?

For some weird reason all the Silver Vision 'Tagged Classics' series seem to be exempt from any legal shenanigans. This means WWF logo is ok PLUS you get to hear the proper theme music when it's licensed ie Limp Bizkit for WMX7 (and Taker's entrance)

I remember downloading a version of X7 from the anthology boxset and all the turnbuckles etc. were constantly blurred and they played some generic gooseberry fool for the theme tune. Silver Vision FTW!

Ginga asked a similar question last month. Here's the basic summarisation of this particular conundrum:

KKLEIN wrote:Anything related to the WWF Attitude Era Scratch logo (1998 to 2002) isn't allowed, so has to be blurred out. So everything with the original WWF & 'New Generation' logos are fine. They're still allowed to say "World Wrestling Federation", but can never say or promote the initials "WWF". The only anomaly here is with the videogames - just the case packaging needs to say "WWE".

SilverVision (official licensee for WWE videos and DVDs in Europe) however, despite having to dump their entire VHS library in the summer of 2002, are exempt (I think it's because they bought the rights originally, so have somehow loop-holed out of it). SilverVision's WWF video catalogue is currently being re-released onto DVD, under the 'Tagged Classics' banner. This is basically VHS quality material copied onto DVD, with the benefit of no editing or blurring (unless otherwise featured on the original WWF Coliseum Video release).

The Tagged Classics range isn't sold in America, nor do they ship there.

When it comes to the Royal Rumble, Summerslam & Survivor Series Anthology collections, you're best off avoiding them & buying Tagged Classics instead.

BTW, found this on Google:

I thought the quality looked a bit off, compared to some of the other DVDs.

Here's one for everyone, on the back of the favourite PPV discussion. What are people's ten favourite wrestlers ever? For me, I think it's very Attitude Era focused:

1. Chris Jericho
2. The Rock
3. Edge
4. Rob Van Dam
5. Stone Cold
6. Kurt Angle
7. Christian
8. The Undertaker(pre-falling apart)
9. Mankind/Dude Love/Cactus Jack/Mick Foley
10. Bret Hart

EDIT: A very honourable mention to Eddie Guerrero, who is on a par with everyone from Christian down. It's so difficult to choose ten, actually. :fp:

Actually, Metallica won't give him the rights to the music - apparently because when they were just attaining superstar status in the late 80s/early 90s they offered to perform at a PPV, possibly Wrestlemania, for free and Vince told them where to shove their offer. Then when WWE asked them for the permanent rights to Enter Sandman the first time he went back, they told the WWE where they could go.
