One of the worst Pay Per Views in a long, long time.

Edge? Really? You're telling me that Edge needs the title for a tenth time, more than Alberto Del Rio for his first? Edge is what now, 37? Tired of his gimmick, tired of him 3mph spear and tired of him. A horrible end to a horrible match.

The Miz/Orton thing was strawberry floating terrible? I'm a huge fan of both guys but this was ridiculous. Imagine if you paid $60 to watch that gooseberry fool? Screwjobs should be used sparingly, and certainly not on PPVs.

The IC match was decent, gutted Swagger seems to have injured his hand.

Kudos to Beth and Natalya for what was my Match of the night or what would have been if the John Morrison/Sheamus match wasn't tremendous. Looking forward to the Miz/JoMo feud to come.

Another gimmicky PPV with gimmicky results.
4/10

Dave Meltzer said that fatal 4 way was "fantastic".

Say goodbye to your credibility.

Glad to know it wasn't just me that thought the diva's match was really good.

If you have points to make then please post them, I'd be happy to argue my point.

It's the Edge thing mostly. Kane needed to lose the title because it was getting old. As good as Del Rio is he doesn't deserve the WWE title, neither did Barrett earlier this year. Some people are far too eager to push people to the top and then complain when that happens and WWE strawberry floats it up because they realise it was too soon and don't let them go over anyone. And if Rey had won then this thread would naturally be full of people claiming they'll never watch WWE again. So apart from that, it was just a bloody good match! It was exciting and had a mix of good to great spots.

You didn't mention Cena/Barrett but I thought they did the right thing, I was stupid to predict a Barrett win. The heat the match got justified it's placement at the top of the card and helped make it a great match. The crowd were into every move and the face got the win that ended the feud. The NXT/Cena feud has been going for ages and ending it last night was the best decision, and of course the face has to win. Barrett will get out of this fine and I hope - bringing in the WM27 discussion - that he goes on to face Taker, a match that I didn't think of earlier.

Fair point. But how stale is Edge as a champion? 10 times? What is he going to do now? He only got over as a heel because he had either Lita or Vickie by his side. As a face, no one cares. Sure, the match had some high points, the Del Rio bump was amazing, but the majority of the match was boring. The crowd being dead didn't help. Sorry, but I just don't rate Edge in the slightest. He's no better than Christian, ergo he should have as many world titles as Christian. None. (WWECW titles don't count).

Apologies, the Cena/Barrett match was bread and butter. Everything I expected. I was actually expecting Punk to have some involvement though.

He is stale. Kane was beginning to get stale. Orton is stale, Cena, Rey, Taker, HHH even though he hasn't held a title in ages. All stale. But despite that it's still too soon to be putting the title on "rookies" just because they've had a good first few months. Just have to ride out this tide of boring champs until the likes of Swagger and Sheamus are given the proper backing of the company and get good runs.

Kane's been stale for ages man... come on.

Buuuuut reluctantly, you are right. Swagger and Sheamus prove that.

Hmmm.

My WWE watching has been reduced to WWE.com videos after Raw and PPVs if they're meant to be any good. I have no idea about Smackdown

Del Rio winning the world title on a B show that nobody watched, for a brand that's never been in a worse position, wouldn't have elevated him at all. Best saved for a worthwhile storyline on Raw.

I really wish I had put more thought into my predictions and changed them before the event. My wanting Sheamus to win blinded me from the obvious possibilities of a Morrison/Miz feud and Sheamus/Nipple H. Didn't think Edge would walk away with the title, and couldn't see Del Rio or Rey holding the title just yet.

The few matches I saw were good, but I couldn't take anymore once the tag-title match began.

I hope they something decent prepared for cena and punk because I personally would have waited until the rumble and had punk eliminate cena by leaving his commentary position.

Pretty good raw though. Great start, some good matches in regal & bryan, cena & ziggles. Even the mixed tag match was good and fun. Good crowd as well.

So Punk's Slammy speech was referring to Cena spilling his diet soda?
