All of you are forgetting that, within the context of the show, the endings aren't pre-determined. Of course we know they are, but as far as the story is concerned, nobody knows who's going to win.

All things considered, why wouldn't it make sense for Jericho to build up to a potential victory, only for Sheamus to win? Why wouldn't it make sense for them to air Jericho promos only to have Sheamus go over in an impactful way? Jericho doesn't know for sure he's going to win. Given that Vince and the other creative directors supposedly don't know any more about what's going to happen or who's going to win than we do, it makes no sense to expect them to air promos based on the winner of the Rumble, before it's happened.

Perhaps I missed the part where Jericho's character became psychic? Because otherwise, I can see nothing wrong with him predicting big things for himself at the Rumble ("the end of the world"), only to fail at the hands of the Great White.

Pretty poor, booking was on an almost TNA like level.

Yes, but this is professional wrestling. I was brought up with wrestling that, when you implied or promised something big was going to happen if you watched this Pay Per View, then something big was going to happen at the Pay Per View.

Jericho losing however isn't really the sole problem here - it's apart of a bigger issue that from the moment these videos aired with Chris Jericho, the whole thing's been schizophrenic. It's like the CM Punk & Triple H nonsense from last year. Nothing leads to anything, or goes anywhere. It's like watching Eastenders without any of the payoff. 'Heh, I thought Pat had dementia last week? Oh no, that angle's been dropped. She's now taken up Buddhism commencing from Tuedsay's episode.'

It's typical WWE. The questions just add up week after week & we never get any answers. Will the meaning of the videos be revealed? What does 'end of the world' mean? Why did he walk out of the tag team match? Why has he been mute for the last 3 weeks, but then suddenly spoke last Monday? Why was his character in the Rumble at odds with the past month?

Why is Drew McIntyre still here? Why is Triple H, who was removed as general manager of RAW, deciding whether his replacement is up to the job at the bequest of The Board who originally removed him for incompetence in the first place?

Kane had been in 13 straight Rumbles up until last night.

I think they're suffering from Russo and Bischoff syndrome, that they need to swerve the dirt sheets and internet fans. Which is why the booking seems to change on the fly and angles, storylines, matches, etc are dropped within a week. It's ridiculous really and it's just damaging the product.

I presume we'll be getting some announcements regarding Elimination Chamber tonight, seeing as it's only 3 weeks away. I'm hoping Kane & John Cena will be in the Chamber, as I don't fancy watching another singles match with these two.

Jericho's gimmick is he's a retard since Orton punted him in the head.

I'd Imagine Raw's is probably not gonna feature them. Punk, Ziggler, Miz, Truth, Jericho, Swagger, I'd Imagine.

SD's is probably Bryan, Show, Rhodes, Orton, Barrett and someone useless like DiBiase.

Might get Taker tonight, as they need to start building to that soon.

Pretty pleased with my GRAPL performance there, if only Cody had lasted a few more minutes. :(

I really enjoyed the Rumble match. Miz and Rhodes having good showings, the Socko/Cobra showdown, Ricardo being all round totally amazing, Kofi's handstand, the announcers all entering, Ziggler having a go at Kharma then getting mauled and the last two having a decent final section. Genuinely didn't know who was going to win.

That's my problem with it too. They built one of their most potentially interesting stories in a long time with those vids and then completely forget they've done it and go nowhere with it.

They have lost the plot in recent years. Watching the excellent docs on netflix makes me realise how bad they have got. It's not just nostalgia on my part.

Kurt Angle says: "I've not heard of that many teams, but TNA's UK office always rave about Arsenal - so they must win. But why are they allowed to play an Ox?"

I'm not sure if Angle is being serious or not :shifty:
