AOL & Time Warner are once again two separate entities. If they'd never merged, WCW would probably still be around today, as Ted Turner would have likely kept it around in some form or another.

Hmm i'm really not sure about last nights finish. It looks very much like they were both supposed to fall through a table but no one seemed to hesitate, the reaction as soon as Cena went through was very normal, the bell rang, Sheamus music started, he got the belt and left. No one seemed really confused by it. You could say Cena did but then it could have just looked like he was supposed to be annoyed at himself for losing.

Anyway my prediction for tonight is Sheamus to appear for 7:38 secs. I know the show is 3 hours long and there is the possibility that he could be in a match but for some reason as soon as i read the challenge that time came into my head.

Also on Lawler as a heel announcer, yes he was great but he also suited the attitude era, i'm just not sure that he would be any good as a heel in the current climate.

Yeah he was smutty and would probably have to tone that down now, but just having him support the heel and the banter that ensued from it was more entertaining than the commentators agreeing with each other for the whole show.

Just watching the clip of Cena V Sheamus again, was it Matt Striker who was commentating with Cole and Lawler? as he appeared to be playing a heel. He said that he was glad Sheamus had won and he he said something about it being great because of the looks on the kids faces. He sounded pretty much a heel commentator then.

He's gooseberry fool though. Can't stand Striker.

Not only will I do a forfeit, I will also pay everyone who regularly contributes in the Wrestling Thread £1 via paypal.

Of course, if I am right, then everyone else must pay ME £1.

...because he technically never lost it in the first place. Cena put himself through the table, thus voiding the decision.

JR's Blog wrote:Ross flashed back to Kane's one-night title reign back in June 1998 when talking about Sheamus winning the WWE Title from John Cena. "It reminded me somewhat of many years ago when Stone Cold was red hot and he lost the WWE Title to Kane in a 'First Blood' match," Ross said.

JC: I had the same thought last night along with flashbacks to the giant trophy case in center ring the next night on Raw when Vince McMahon presented the WWE Title to Kane, only to have Steve Austin jump Kane, then win back the title. I don't think anyone wants to see the WWE Title hot-potatoed back to Cena tonight on Raw, but history is there.

Hint, hint, nudge, nudge, wink, wink
