via F4W:

Stacy Carter, the former wife of Jerry Lawler, just made a post, which is consistent with what we've been hearing.

"The docs are removing his ventilation and taking him out of sedation. He is responsive, which is great!!! It took a while to revive him last night so there's the concern of brain damage. He had some tests done which will show how much if any damage there is due to the lack of oxygen to the brain. Unfortunately, the results won't be in until the morning. I appreciate all the calls, texts, tweets and Facebook messages of support and I know Jerry will too."

It seem that the lovely (and soon to be appearing at Chikara's King of Trios event) Maria Kanellis is a member of the Taliban...

Taliban insurgents are posing as "attractive women" on Facebook to befriend Australian soldiers and gather intelligence about operations. There is a wrestling tie as one of the accounts the militant group created features photos of former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis.

PCWorld.com has posted an article on the matter, which features a screenshot of a phony Facebook profile with an image of Kanellis displayed.

The tech-savvy Taliban are using these fake profiles to befriend Australian soldiers and gather information based on their Facebook updates. The social networking website features a geo-tagging function, which logs the location from which posts are made. If a soldier posts something while they're in the field, their location is revealed.

Three Australian soldiers were murdered inside their base month, allegedly by an Afghan Army trainee.

Many soldiers did not realize that people using fake profiles can capture information and movements, according to the Australian Government's review of social media and defense. The review found an "overt reliance" on privacy settings had led to "a false sense of security" among troops.

Australian soldiers are being given pre-deployment briefings on the matter and the Australian Department of Defence is currently working on new social media guidelines.

RAW rating was a 2.9.

WWE SmackDown Tapings

Michael Cole made his entrance, and received mild boos but nowhere near as much as usual. After he sat down at his table, there were a few "Jerry, Jerry" chants.

The show kicked off with Alberto Del Rio, Ricardo and David Otunga coming out to complain about Sheamus hurting Otunga on Monday (now in a neck brace). Sheamus hit the ring and took out Otunga again as Del Rio escaped.

Match 1: Sin Cara pinned WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz in a non-title match. Bad match, with lots of botches.

They re-aired the Kane and Daniel Bryan vs. Prime Time Players match from RAW, with editing.

Kane and Daniel Bryan were back in Anger Management class. They were made to squeeze their (stress) balls. Kane then told Bryan that his was bigger.

Teddy Long made a Fatal-4 Way for the Intercontinental Championship on Sunday.

Match 2: Kane pinned WWE Tag Team champion Kofi Kingston following a chokeslam.

Match 3: Randy Orton defeated Tensai with the RKO.

Antonio Cesaro came to the ring with Oksana saying he was outraged - in 5 languages - that the winner of the YouTube Battle Royal would get a shot at his Championship.

Tyson Kidd came and said that he's going to be the next US champion. Cesaro threw him out of the ring. Brodus Clay then came out and shoulder tackled the champion. The segment ended with Brodus and Tyson dancing.

Match 4: Kaitlyn defeated Beth Phoenix in a crappy match.

Match 5:In what was billed as a WrestleMania rematch, Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan with the Texas Cloverleaf.

Latest on Jerry Lawler

Brian Christopher (Lawler's son) wrote:Ok, here’s the latest real update. Lauren and I are here at the hospital in Montreal. He does not look good at all. He is responsive to questions that he is asked which is very good. His sedation and breathing support are being lowered slowly right now. He was shocked a total of 7 times at the arena and underwent a balloon stint to open up a clogged artery when he arrived at hospital. Everyone out there needs to say a special prayer for his brain at this point, please. Tests on his brain will not be available until the morning. One of us two will keep all you guys informed as we know more.

Jim Ross, JRsBBQ wrote:For Jerry Lawler to be sick is highly unusual. Being a 62 year old man, the King has been as fit as any one that I've known. He wrestles several times a month on the indy circuit and still plays in his Memphis softball league on Wednesday nights. Jerry is also 'young at heart' which isn't new news. Plus, my long time partner and traveling companion has never smoked, drank alcohol or been a drug user...In a rough and tumble business, Jerry Lawler has essentially been an iron man since the 70's. But even self acclaimed 'Iron Men' aren't bullet proof even though many of us think that we are. Trust me, we aren't. I'm not sure what caused Jerry's heart attack but it could have been genetic, Jerry's Dad died of a heart attack at a young age, or something that has been brewing for a good while. I don't know. In any event, suffering a massive heart attack is obviously life changing...I shutter to think what the outcome would have been if Jerry had been wrestling on one of the indy shows that he was often booked. Heck, even driving to the arena or sitting in a restaurant might have proven fatal based on the hand that The King was dealt in Montreal Monday evening.

The last report that I received is that Jerry was in stable condition and getting excellent cardio care in a Montreal hospital. All of Jerry's vital signs are stable according to WWE.com. This is the information that we need to hear at this time and is positive. Tomorrow is another day and, God willing, will be an even better day for The King. Based on the information that I have, Jerry was extremely lucky to have been at a WWE event when his attack occurred. The immediate care that the trained professionals provided Jerry likely saved his life. I shutter to think what the outcome would have been if Jerry had been wrestling on one of the indy shows that he was often booked. Heck, even driving to the arena or sitting in a restaurant might have proven fatal based on the hand that The King was dealt in Montreal Monday evening.

George Clooney splits with Stacy Keibler

The Sun wrote:Image

HOLLYWOOD’S serial single man George Clooney is splitting from ANOTHER lover — his sexy young girlfriend Stacy Keibler.

The heart-throb actor, 51, appeared to be finally settling down with blonde Stacy, 32, after they spent the summer together at his home in Lake Como, Italy.

They even flew their parents out last month to meet each other. But ex female wrestler Stacy is now telling friends: It’s over.

A statement is expected any day announcing the pair have split amicably.

It seems notoriously commitment-shy Clooney has got cold feet again about settling down.

A pal of Stacy’s revealed: “She said George wants to be on his own again and has no intention of getting married.

“Stacy hoped they would be together long-term. It was a big breakthrough to spend time with his parents. But over the last few weeks George has pulled away from her.”

The Descendants star Clooney was married once — to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.

He has dated a string of beauties including Kelly Preston (now Mrs John Travolta), lawyer Celine Balitran, Brit model Lisa Snowdon, cocktail waitress Sarah Larson and MTV presenter Elisabetta Canalis.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sh ... riend.html

A representative for both of them have since told E! Online that "A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true. Total fabrication designed to sell newspapers." Isn't that what usually happens? A denial, only for them to officially split a few weeks or months later?

It would be nice to see her back in the WWE, but it's probably a long shot.

Lawler was pretty lucky. It is very rare to live if your heart stops, you just can't get help fast enough.

I wonder if the press will post how well WWE's medical teams dealt with it.

Yeah that's very true. I'm pretty sure that was the difference between life and death when Fabrice Muamba collapsed during the football match a few months back - that immediate and near instant medical treatment. Even though he had to retired, he was able to recover without any major brain damage from his heart stopping for as long as it did. I'm hoping the same happens with King as well and he's able to recover without any signs of brain damage and such. Really hopes he pulls through.

JR's spot on though, if this happened on the road, in his hotel or even at an indy show then well it's quite possible to say that the worst may well have happened. I was hesitant to watch Raw I must admit but i'm about an hour in and it's just so weird how he sounds so fine and healthy, relatively enjoying the show - yet in about 20 mins/30 mins all that will change.

What with Linda McMahon's campaign, I'm just waiting for her opponents to go to town on the fact that one of their performers has now had a heart attack on Live TV.

One thing that is in the WWE's favour is that Lawler doesn't take drugs, smoke or drink. I guess it's possible he's on pain medication though.

It shouldn't be an issue really, Lawler has been called Burger King for years because of his podgy nature. That probably has more to do with his current heart problems that anything.

Ironically my mate once saw him leaving a McDonald's in London on the UK Tour a few years back.

I imagine Lawler's in much better shape than many other wrestlers in their 60s.

Yeah I agree. He is no fatter than of men his age and I'm sure he's much fitter despite carrying some weight. Some people just get heart problems regardless of how well they look after their bodies.

Some good news on the King, apparently he's suffered no brain damage after the heart attack which is really good to hear. Also he's now apparently breathing on his own without the aid of a ventilator.
