That was an awful PPV. And yet again they've written Jericho out by having him leave in tears. :x

Well, apart from that appallingly gooseberry fool end, this was a very decent PPV.

Highlight of the night for me was the Danielson/Miz match with the Punk promo a close second. Good stuff.

Even Orton thought the show had gone off and broke character being all smiley in the ring.

With only two weeks till another PPV, sending in the face as champion is a strange one. I guess they're banking solely on Kane/Taker in the HIAC.

I wouldn't be that surprised if the Hell in a Cell Raw main event was just a rematch of that, but in a cage. I know they use the Elimination Chamber for that kind of stuff now, but I just don't see how a match can be $55's worth of compelling with 2 weeks build.

So did nobody notice me going quiet for a few matches, then? :shifty:

I wouldn't cry about Jericho just yet ... his twitter

@IAmJericho Since I've apparently made my last appearance in the WWE, I guess I have nothing to do tomorrow....

Overall it was a pretty decent PPV i thought. I knew deep down that Orton was going to win, but didn't pick it for some reason in GRAPL as i was playing safe. Orton is very over at the moment so in WWE's eyes it would be a loss not to have him as Champ. I'm expecting him V Sheamus at HIAC. Possibly with HHH returning then.

Does the stipulation still stand that if he loses he leaves WWE?

Apparently so - Cole brought it up, briefly, earlier.

Do you think that might have just been the wrestlers' way of showing their respects without permission? It seemed so strange that the announcers didn't mention it, as if not to draw attention to him.

Very likely the above. I'm expecting Jericho to be on the next RAW at least. I'm still holding onto the fact that he said before he leaves that he will reveal the identity of the mystery RAW GM. Hopefully they haven't forgotten that and he will stick around for a bit. It's sad though as that could very possibly have been his last match ever!!!!

Also got the the ppv ran for a long time after Orton won!!! on PPV's they usually cut off pretty quick.

Balloon Sod wrote:I also like how Cena and Orton were clearly expecting the crowd to go nuts for the Austin/Rock like showdown, but they really didn't give a gooseberry fool. We've seen that too many times.

Maybe they overran to make people think Miz would run in?

It was very strange seeing Barrett, Edge, Orton, Cena and Seamus all just stop in the middle of the ring and watch Jericho walking out. Very surreal.

I'm very much hoping that the "Jericho leaving" thing is a swerve to get him out for a few months so he can do his tour with Fozzy, and then get him back in again around the middle of next year. The WWE main event scene can't lose Shawn Michaels and Jericho in the space of six months - the two best wrestlers will have gone.
