Just a reminder that WWE Tribute to the Troops is on tomorrow night at 12am on Sky Sports Xtra (soon to be Sky Sports 4). It's only an hour.

The commercial that aired on Superstars was amusingly different to the one at TLC (Vince was apparently annoyed the trailer featured Cena with the belt).

The tribute show is known to fans as being recorded beforehand anyway so it should'nt matter

Things are looking in regards to Ric Flair joining TNA as both sides are said to be close on money. However, a major point said is Flair wants a guaranteed contract with Panda Energy and not TNA, so he'd get paid in case the wrestling organization folds. (source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

strawberry floating hell, how much are they offering him for and for how long? It's not as if they are going to go bust within a year  is it?

Well in theory, these old names add instant gravitas to the company & attract viewers. You're not going to get that with an A J Styles or Samoa Joe on your commercials. However if these old timers stick within their inner circle (so instead of say a Rock Vs Hogan or Foley Vs Randy Orton situation, you end up with Hogan Vs Flair & Flair Vs Kevin Nash. In the Main Event. On Pay Per View) then TNA is doomed.

Flair & Hogan wont be wrestling, right? How are they going to get enough air time between them? There's obviously going to be team Flair (veteran faces including Booker T's return) v team Hogan (NWO hasbeens)

I know absolutely plain all nothing about TNA, haven't even watched this weeks so that i can at least guess who may have the edge going into the PPV. So i'm expecting to blow my chance of further closing the gap at the top Spurs style! Also i've not gone for Nash being fired but i can imagine something like that happening as a storyline so that Hogan can bring him back.

UK ratings for the week ending 6th December...

WWE Vintage Collection managed an extremely good 40,000 on Sunday night at 11pm, the Live edition of Raw pulled 58,000 & Smackdown did an extremely lousy 24,000 on Friday & an even worse 16,000 on Saturday night (more people watched Bottom Line).

Mental decision by Powerslam to put Rey Mysterio at 1. He's done naff all all year.

strawberry float off has he  He pulled off an AMAZING performance in the elmination chamber this year then had a long feud with Jericho with some great matches and put on a few great TV matches including the IC title match with Morrison. Probably not no1 worthy but probably the best WWE has had all year, except possibly CM Punk

I can't remember the Jericho feud whatsoever, so couldn't tell you what the storyline there was about.

He retired JBL in about a minute at Wrestlemania, had a mid-card feud with Dolph Ziggler, missed numerous PPVs either because he was injured or suspended, was roundly booed at Hell in a Cell, & is now being pasted in a feud with Batista.

If you look at past winners of the award, he's the worst of the bunch. Especially in a year he's been stuck in the midcard with practically non-existent storylines. That's before you even get to his wrestling ability, which is nowhere near what it was in ECW or WCW.

You don't remember the Jericho feud because like almost everyone in this thread you're not fans of actual wrestling anymore, you only watch to point out how crap it the product is and how it should be more like the good old days/WCW. They put on consistently good matches, some of the best of the year and include Rey's other matches this year and he's probably the best the WWE has had in 2009, minus Punk as I said.

Your forgetting his ability to wrestle with the injuries sustained and the quality of competition he's had to face alot recently, plus his bouts with Y2J were brilliant in terms of wrestling and not storyline crap. I would say Y2J/Punk/Hardy/ should of won the award, but by no means is Rey unworthy of the title this year in fact he's perhaps the most deserving.
