Mayweather was great at Mania and in the buildup, even though the creative team didn't no if he should be a face or heel!

Anyway no idea if this has been posted, but Silvervision have a sale on:

I'm tempted by the Eddie dvd, anyone here got it? If so is it worth it from £15?

That would be a very Hogan thing to do.

I think that Mayweather may join DX for the night, reminding us of their time with Tyson

Definitely worth it.

YES. It's definitely one of my favourite sets, and really chronicles Eddie's different styles throughout his career well.

I've yet to watch the extra disc with the tribute shows on it yet though, as I think it'd be far too depressing to experience again.

Smackdown this past Friday dropped in the ratings to a 1.7. Don't know yet, but pre-emptions in certain territories may have something to do with it.

Randy Orton’s wife Samantha was in the front row at last night’s RAW with some friends. She's visible on camera.

I guess Punk is winning the belt on Sunday then.

Next week in the States, October over here. That's through SilverVision only though. 2010 for everyone else.

Just watched Beyond the Mat again

Watching that - going through the WWF HQ its amazing -the floors so shiny - the fact that the WWF could afford to rent/own such a building back then when they had been close to going under..etc.. boggles me, and makes me understand just how much income the company got then and even now! Huge!!

The scenes with Foley and his Family and the Funkster really drive home, now normally chair shots dont bother me at all, but after watching them flinch and cry I can't help but see them in a new light, evenmore so after what happened to Benoit.

Game totally falls apart in Story mode. Shambolic. At £3 though, you can't exactly complain.

Some UK ratings news, (week ending 9th August).

Raw pulled in an impressive 50,000 for the Live showing, though lost a considerable number for the Thursday repeat which only did a paltry 29,000 (this was the disastrous Piven episode).

Smackdown did 92,000 for its 2 Sky Sports airings.

TNA iMPACT! pulled 91,000 over 2 airings.

Don't listen to KKLEIN. TNA iMPACT was a thoroughly enjoyable romp, but once you're finished you're finished. The moves get very repetitive after a while as the movesets are very limited, but it still manages to be a really cool wrestling game.

Beats strawberry float out of the Smackdown vs Raw iterations of late, anyway.

Backlash & Judgment Day 2001 are now up to Pre-Order on SilverVision:

http://www.silvervision.co.uk/products/ ... Discs.html

If I remember, the Backlash main event was terrible. However it is the show that features the now legendary Last Man Standing Match between Big Show & Shane McMahon, in which Shane jumps from the top of the stage (about 40ft in the air)

Legendary? Shanes stunts at KOTR and Summerslam are a lot better imo. If I remember it's ridiculous how Big Show gently places himself on the edge of the landing zone which has something corny written on the side to explain why it's there.

Backlash also has the awful Queensbury rules match. The whole setup was dire. But it does have Benoit and Angle in the ultimate submission match

I'm not watching the TNA PPV on Bravo until they realise it's alright to go ten minutes without an advert, and the adverts themselves don't require the same airtime as the actual show :fp:
