Yup. Vince to decide that he doesn't want to fire Cena and that he wants to make his life a living hell instead. Cue feud.

Tonight should start with Vince, a new title and a tournament heading towards Summerslam if indeed Punk is gone, which seems like a silly move after the amazingness of last night.

Why oh why could they not have got Jim Ross to commentate.

This, a big part of why Austin was amazing was helped by JR's commentary for him - He really got behind him and pushed him.

If they had someone like that for last night's match instead of two men complaining about him and pushing Cena and one guy talking bollocks like a hobo in a subway

I'm not expecting him to be off screens much. Hell I fully expect him to kick off Raw tonight to "address the WWE universe" about how he lost the title...at which point Vince will come and retard the gooseberry fool out of him and say "firing you is the easy option....I'm gonna make your life A LIVING HELL!!!!!!".

Big question for me though is if Punk will make an appearance tonigt?

Punk has to be showing up tonight. Last night was awesome...it'd be such a shame if he's truely gone.

Only thing I would have as a reason for Punk not being there is for them to keep having Nunzio constantly trying to cash the MitB in all the time, it could get very boring.

I hope the rumors of the contract extension to Summerslam is true, Punk is so hot right now WWE would be so stupid to get it right last night then drop the ball now

Imagine if Punk stays on television without a contract, he can't be touched and he can't be cashed in on because he's not their employee. They could have him keep turning up and build to Punk signing a one match contract for Summerslam. Meh, fantasy booking etc

Well he's certainly signed to something, whether it's a full contract or a short term extension. There's no way he'd have the WWE title otherwise. I'm sure Punk wouldn't do it anyway - but you don't want him taking the belt to TNA & throwing it in the bin.

Showing up in ROH with it? I think that's an actual possibility. There's just so many options. WWE don't acknowledge he's champion, & then have him show up down the road; employ the 30 day rule - he has to defend it at Summerslam or he's striped; set up a tournament to crown a new interim champion...

Unfortunately the next ROH show isn't until the first TV tapings, in a month, and I just can't see them waiting around that long. It is in Chicago Ridge, though.

Gah why did I go to sleep for work today? As it was said sleep is so over-rated especially when I miss this!!!

Going to be getting straight in tonight and booting up the Sky+ and watching the rest of the show. Can't wait for RAW tonight though

Ah, bit of bad luck there then, if indeed they were thinking of doing anything.

The second RKO on the table by Randy Orton was an audible. Vince McMahon was going nuts backstage, shouting "GO BACK AND BREAK THE strawberry floating TABLE!". It didn't break, but the crowd went nuts anyway.

I guess there's a first for everything. An indestructible Spanish announce table.

The Spanish announcers must have reinforced it when no one was looking. Probably sick of having no table by the end of a PPV.

well it was probably reinforced for the Sin Cara bump anyway, if it was meant to be weak for the Orton bump it cud've gone when Sheamus put that Power Ranger through the wooden ladder

My reaction to the entire PPV was pretty much this:

Image

Punk winning, Orton losing, Daniel Bryan winning the Smackdown Money in the Bank, crowd booing for the stale good guys (Mysterio and Cena), cheering for the amazing badguys (Punk and Sheamus, specifically). Horrible for my predictions, but amazing for the company.

Today is a beautiful day.

I just watched Punk Cena again.

How strong was Punk made to look? Barely anyone gets to kick out of the AA, let alone 2. He also got to power out of the STF, which is unusual.

I've got to ask; what do the WWE commentators think the Anaconda Vice is? Because they call it when Punk applies several submission holds, but never when he actually puts the Vice on

Match of the Year so far, pretty much no contest. It could have been a complete piece of dogshit in ring and still have been amazing because of the crowd, but the in-ring stuff was pretty fabulous.
