Vince is relentless with wanting him at the top, so he will.

There's a lot of stuff on JBL's behaviour in Justin Roberts' new book. Some of it is so outrageous you'd immediately think he was making it up, but JBL has a track record of horrible behaviour. His real life persona is far more in line with his old TV/APA character than what he currently portrays on WWE/Fox News. Apparently JBL would go up to Roberts whenever he saw him and told him he should kill himself. When a secondary school kid dropped his notes, JBL turned to the mother and asked her if all her kids were mentally disabled. I'm surprised nobody has recorded JBL on the sly and leaked it into the public domain.

While in London someone stole Roberts' passport so he had to go to the US embassy to be able to leave.

Triple H also had this obsession of trying to pull down Justin's trousers.

Sounds like a great place to work!

It's amazing with all the stories that come out about JBL that he has maintained his job there, i know he's supposed to be one of Vince's favorites but still i can't believe as you say evidence of his behaviour hasn't leaked into the media.

The crazy thing is even when he's getting his arsed kicked by a legit tough guy like Steve Blackman or a normal bloke like Joey Styles he hasn't stopped. He just seems like a monumental arsehole.

And we've seen glimpses of it over the years on TV. Beating up the Blue Meanie at One Night Stand, and taking massive liberties with the Public Enemy on Sunday Night Heat.

And while Miz's Mum was dying of cancer (which was shown on Tough Enough) he went out of his way to bully him for ages too.

Only reason he gets away with this is became the companies he works for are complicit in this stuff, the atmosphere at Fox News now widely known too.

The BE A STAR campaign really is a massive joke.

Sky Sports using this piece of production music for the darts tonight:

What CM Punk would have ended up with had WWE's cheque book not stretched to Cult of Personality.

Was listening to Dave Meltzer on the Jim Ross Report, he said a suggestion that Wrestlemania could/should become a 2 day event and I'm completely convinced this is the way to go going forward. Think of it like a 2 day festival, 3 if you count the HOF and NXT. I made it to about 2:30 on Sunday and I was done, the show is far too long right now. Even the crowd in attendance can't muster cheering for that long and it showed.

Not only would it give time to more matches but the crowd/TV audience would be more invested what's in front of them. More people can get on the card and we wouldn't have to watch gooseberry fool like the Andre Battle Royal.

Knowing WWE that would then make the show 14 hours long. Nowhere in WWE's mindset at the moment is 'less is more'. This year alone we've got a new Women's tournament to look forward to, an additional NXT TakeOver, and a weekly UK-based show. They've increased their PPV count and added an extra hour onto 3 of them, and bumped Mania up to 7 hours. I don't know whey they go from here - SmackDown to 3 hours?

This is why the storylines are also so poor; it's impossible for the viewer to invest or keep up with what's going on, or the writing teams to keep coming up with stuff. There's lots of wrestling but less reasons to watch it.

Splitting Mania over two days makes total sense which means it's the complete opposite of what the WWE would do. I've always like how New Japan do events over two or three days and that works really well.

Dave Meltzer on JBL:

I have gotten texts and DM's as well as spoken personally to 15 different [people] who all contacted me after the article I wrote, some literally welling up. Justin [Roberts] was the only one without any interest in going back who would speak publicly. The rest were just thanking me because they went through the same thing.

It's way worse and well known than I had imagined. It's astonishing.

Only one of them knew Mauro, only their own experiences.

A lot of outlets now running with the accusations, including Forbes. I think Mauro publicly speaking out would force WWE's hand, but I don't know if he wants the publicity.

I'm amazed that JBL ever survived beating the gooseberry fool out of meanie. If he'd taken that to court I don't think Vince could've protected him

I'm not sure if it was addressed on the Ross Report but splitting Wrestlemania turns it into a six day event unless they drop either NXT or the Hall of Fame from Wrestlemania week. Raw and Smackdown have to take place on Monday and Tuesday so they can't move. I'm sure it's a lot easier said than done but making Wrestlemania a bit shorter is the best solution. Getting rid of the celeb performances would be a start. No one goes to Wrestlemania for Pitbull.

If this was any other company not named WWE or Fox News then this type of nonsense wouldn't wash for as long as it apparently has. Mauro comes from a sports broadcaster background, whereas WWE clearly isn't normal. Wrestling doesn't have the reputation of being a carny business for no reason.

If WWE want their big money sponsors and their various campaigns then they deserve heavy scrutiny. They can't be a halfway house.

I do agree they can shorten mania. They don't gain any thing from the show being 7 hours. Surely it just costs them more. I can't imagine anyone not buying a ticket because the show will be say five hours instead of seven. ppv sales are tiny now but again who's not going to order it because it's shorter?

Also could WWE really sell out an 70,000-80,000 two days running? Yes 15,000 are also attending nxt and the Hall of Fame but those tickets are cheaper than a Mania ticket.

Is 7 hours really an issue though? If it was me I'd want as much bang for my buck as I could get.
