They announced that too

S4 was confirmed awhile ago but there were rumours last year that it had been changed into a movie. Given they've now announced the movie (which is coming first) and not mentioned S4, that does make me wonder if the ideas for S4 have been used for the film instead. Of course a S4 could still happen down the line though.

Hollywood Reporter, Deadspin and Variety all say that Season 4 is "currently in development", so it seems like the movie is an addition to the current project, rather than a replacement for it.

Which makes sense, since season 4 was apparently fully written up by Favreau like a year ago, to line up with Ahsoka.

I feel like that could flop. Mandalorian doesn't feel like the kind of show that is growing massively season upon season (like Game of Thrones back in the day), so to expect casual viewers to want to pay for a ticket to see more is riskier than it appears. I also wish Disney would do something completely different with Star Wars, unlinked to Lucas or their TV shows. It feels like an incredible universe wasted on a corporation who have no trust in the kind of artists who can tell personal stories.

A soft reboot in another time period is needed, and I think that's what the Dawn of the Jedi is going to be. In the meantime, the High Republic is a great departure from the Lucas era stuff, and the Acolyte is set there.

The Acolyte is coming this year, which is set in the High Republic era (before the Skywalker saga). That should hopefully be pretty different to what they've done so far.

I bet there will be a character who is the great great great great grandparent of one of the movie characters.

Well the news of a Mando movie has passed me by, not sure what advantages it'd have over a longer 4th (and final?) series of it though.

Sorry for the double post. Site wasn't working for me earlier so attempted to post twice and wasn't aware that either went through.

Got a returning character spoiled by a random YouTube thumbnail but not even mad. Not been the biggest Bad Batch fan, but using it to tie up some Clone Wars arcs would/will definitely help with that.

Empire Magazine posted this image of Obi-Wan's famous "Hello There" line, earlier, with "TOMORROW. 4PM." as the caption.

The Star Wars TikTok account, meanwhile, posted this fun tribute to Obi-Wan.

So the fandom is abuzz with talk of a Season 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Or action scenes that are in a small area because they're clearly filmed in the volume, where one side simply walks off to end it and the other side then just watches them walk off.

LOL HE SAID HELLO THERE PMSL. GENERAL KENOBI LMAAAAAAOOOOOO!!!!!
