I had a gamesradar article headline and image spoil that bit for me before I'd played it which meant I spent most of the game knowing and expecting giraffes to turn up at some point :x

I agree with Bizzle there. The giraffeswere a beautiful, touching moment, one of the most significant, hopeful points of the game. It was actually the point at which I started to believe there would be a happy ending. I was really, really glad that I hadn't seen that bit previously.

Can't believe they've chucked that into a trailer.

I want to play this again, I only ever played it once. It does only REALLY kick off after winter though.

I loved this games slower pace. We have so many games available where you're constantly running like a madman through the levels. Was such a nice change of pace. Really excited for this all over again and the pleased I will get to play the MP properly this time.

The trailer should just have been Joel paddling around with a palette. End on close-up of a ladder and release date.

Like I said, I started to believe it would be a happy ending. Didn't say it actually was... but the giraffes gave me hope.

Reading that back I know it sounds daft, but it was one of the finest moments I've ever experienced in a game. Genuinely.

Use of them in the trailer? Haven't played it, is it really that big of a spoiler?

Not a spoiler as such, but as I've said, it's a lush moment in the game, and for me, was a huge surprise. You properly view it through the eyes of Ellie, and share her wonder. The way they frame it, the camera positioning, and the fact the games takes real breather at that point, makes it a really significant moment.

You either think 'oh yeah, there are those giraffes I've been expecting' or you think 'Jebus, there are bloody giraffes wandering around -maybe everything will be ok after all. Nature finds a way, etc.'

I spent a few minutes just watching that scene unfold.

I haven't started the PS3 version yet but there has been so much praise for the game here in GRcade that I'm looking forward to it.

I do wonder about this trend for re-releasing games on the new consoles, though. I wouldn't be so reticent about it if they were priced accordingly; but with stuff like Tomb Raider, Wind Waker and TLOU launching at at around fifty quid, it just seems rather too steep. They're prettier and they're terrifc games but it's hard to shake the feeling that they should be half the price this time around. The re-releases should be bolstering some amazing launch titles... not actually being the launch titles themselves.

It should have been @yosp in lycra, kneeling in the rain.

He looks up, grins and goes"kept you waiting, huh?"

Remember the ps4 release date hidden on the sign in the book place? I bet it now shows uncharted 4's date.

A couple of things:
- people seem to think this was an exercise to get the engine up and running on PS4 (may or may not be true...suggest it was though since assets were created at a higher fidelity)
- The Last Of Us on PS4 has all the DLC so it's better value than the PS3 version (depending on how you view PS+ for multiplayer)

ShopTo has listed a launch date of Friday 27 June. This could be pure guesswork on their part but it sounds reasonable.
