Personally I can't see the harm in actors using if it's safe. I guess we'll find out the king term effect in the next 10-20 years.
Steroids were sometimes prescribed to AIDS patients as it prevents muscle wastage. They're quite well understood compared to other illegal drugs. You can literally walk into pharmacists in Greece, Thailand, Mexico etc and buy over the counter. Would be great if more research was done but it's somewhat chicken and egg.
We already have plenty of 1980s actors (Arnie and Stallone) who were taking juice for decades long and seem to be doing okay. They were taking juice without anywhere near as much knowledge amongst users, before the Internet and probably before many doctors knew much about them too.
Actors like Bale, Jackman, Hemsworth will be using no where near as much as Arnie would have been. Regular Testosterone is relatively harmless, the oral steroids will wreck your liver in the long run and something like Tren will be too extreme.
Football on the whole doesn't seem like a sport where lots of steroids would help but even doing TRT at normal amounts would ensue that no matter how little sleep you got, or alcohol you drank, or shite you ate, you are getting consistently controlled releases of Test.
Haye and Ronaldo have great genetics and I could believe they're both natural but I wouldn't be surprised either to learn they took something. Armstrong was the best in the world and beat all the tests, we only know he cheated because he admitted to it. Designer steroids with short half lifes and infrequent testing means you can cheat and get away with it.
Footballers would probably benefit more from blood doping than steroids.
