Now that GB and GBA games are coming to the online expansion pass with no signs of Pokémon coming in th E next few months, I’m hoping even more that this means we’ll be getting eshop releases of gen 1 to 3 games at least started off with gen 1 games at Pokémon Day at the end of the month. Setting myself up for disappointment? Most likely But I’m hopeful with the closure of the 3DS eshop round the corner and then games basically sitting there ready to be released as they have a GB/GBC/GBA emulator working on the Switch now.

I'm expecting and hoping for Gen 1 games on Pokemon Day with Pokemon Stadium (although it'll probably be it's own Pokemon app to stop people using save states) with Home compatibility.

Meanwhile, I finally got the frames through for the posters I bought a few weeks ago. Just need to get them on the wall.

While I’d prefer eshop purchases for the individual games, I’d be happy just to see them on the Switch really!

Seems Qikz isn’t the only one who thinks the GB/GBC/GBA games may come as an app,



I guess part of my thinking why it won’t be part of the current subscription as an app, is that adding even just the 10 mainline Pokémon games would be worth £35 a year on its own, never mind with all the other consoles on top. As the video mentions, maybe a paid app just for the Pokémon titles? I could see that, as TPC definitely won’t want to miss out on the extra money by it being bundled in with the Switch online rather than a paid app or individual games.

Dread to think how much they’d charge for that, I’d probably pay whatever if they actually did that though! Let’s be honest though, a cart with just the 10 (counting Green) mainline gen 1-3 games would be £100 easy.

Ahh strawberry float. I got green a while back to get the Pokemon I was missing from Yellow and while that worked, there's 3 pokemon (Ekans, Arbok, Electabuzz) that I can't get and I need Red for it. While I could just get them in another title having the little gameboy icon on them in Home feels good and knowing I got them all in the gameboy game feels good.

I'll wait until Pokemon Day to see what they announce, but in the meantime I've got to do a few more Green runs up to getting the fossils revived and get two more Eevees anyway.

TPC are Nintendo and Gamefreak. Nintendo own the publishing rights to Pokemon. TPC gets money if Nintendo makes money from subs so they get money either way.

I’ve no idea how it’s actually divided up, but I always thought Nintendo owned a 1/3 of TPC who in turn owns GameFreak and Pokémon in general? I’m probably making this up though

It's a joint investment by 3 companies. All 3 companies who have a stake in Pokemon. Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pok%C3%A9mon_Company

If Nintendo makes more money from the switch subs it will generate from putting Pokemon in their service they will funnel more money into the TPC. It's a seperate company, but it's still owned by the three of them and they all benefit if Pokemon does well for Nintendo.

The only thing that might happen is they might get a seperate app for Pokemon games so they can disable save states as Game Freak specifically disabled those due to bank integration on the 3DS.

I just learned you can use a clefairy doll to skip the need for a sylph scope in the pokemon tower cutting down my replay time considerably. Nice!

Hoping for the following (probably in order of preference),

- DLC for Scarlet and Violet
- Some of Gen 1 to 3 games put on the Switch in one way or another
- Home update allowing accessibility for Scarlet and Violet.
