I agree with the Sneijeder bit that that deal has passed. Injury prone and not what we need. SO much spiel around Hazard - i don't care for it. Still looks like h'es trying to get more money out of City to me.

He'd be a great signing but it'd leave us with 4 wingers unless Nani is moving somewhere hopefully :x

Hazard hasn't played winger all season, he can play there of course but he's been playing alot more central this season (where he scored his hattrick from last night)

Ahhh has he ? I'd much rather be buying Sneijder/Modric to plug that gap for a world class midfielder.

Sneijder is a second striker, much like Rooney. Modric is a passing midfielder. Completely different players. I would argue Sneijder isn't even a midfielder.

Sneijder has had one consistently good season in his career, is injury prone and is coming towards the end of his career anyway, he has may be one/two years at the top. I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.

I'd love Modric and think he's the perfect Scholes replacement, but Hazard is without a doubt a special talent and would bring that fear factor back to United that we've lacked since Ronaldo left.

I was thinking that too. But everyday more and more reports keep indicating that we favourites. But that was the same with Nasri last season.

I think he would get in our team. Play off Rooney, if he were to join. It would be a great coup for the club and Gill would mean true to his word that we can compete with City and Chelsea in the transfer market. Rather than it being a PR speech for season ticket renewals.

The 33-year-old midfielder only played once last season after suffering a foot injury on his debut in August.

Now exactly why have they given the cripple another year contract?

Potential I imagine.

The perfect "what if" scenario.

Surely he's on a pay as you play deal?

Doesn't say on the BBC or official site just says been offered a year contract until 2013.

Berbarov has said he's leaving so I can definitely see United bringing in a tall striker to replace him, Rooney, Welbeck & Chicharito aren't tall enough be genuine aerial threats. Would love Llorente

But we'll probably get Heskey 8-)

We've got £25 million in the bank this month which will rise to £75 million next month. We've had this sort of money before but The Glazers have preferred to use it to refinance our debt rather than re-invest in the squad.

To be fair, Berbatov was hardly the type who was going to bully defenders for crosses and a lot of the criticism at him was that he wasn't in the box.

If we get Hazard or Kagawa, they'd be effectively replacing Berbatov. Like Berbatov, both can play off a striker. And both were in double figures for goals last season.

Out of interest, why will it rise to £75m next month?

Fergie had money on Chelsea.

Something to do with the seasonal nature of football clubs. Teams finances are always lower in March. We could easily spend £75 mill this summer but it would mean much lower profits and a lower valuation for an IPO, something the Glazers won't be keen on.

I empathise with him, but he only came into form towards the very end of the season and Drogba had to start the final. Now I really think we need to let him lead the line next season, so DDA will have to go. What a way to end his career, I really think it is perfect for him to move on now.

Completely agree. DDA should bow out as a club legend. I really hope Nando stays. I think he can be good next season and I have a real soft spot for him.
