Will be a quality signing for anyone at £7m

Yeah but - there's already Gerrard, Aquilani, Cole, Henderson, Spearing, Lucas, Adam, Sterling and Shelvey fighting for places in central midfield. It'll be interesting to see who Rodgers favours and who doesn't make the cut, and as he's probably going to have to fund his own transfers to a certain extent (he won't be given anywhere near the amount of money Dalglish was given) some of those will surely be on their way before long.
Brendan Rodgers dropped a hint that he would be prepared to let some Liverpool youngsters leave to benefit the Swans if it was needed
Whilst there is an agreement in place that Rodgers does not come back for players for 12 months, he dropped a hint that there was always the possibility of moves the other way as he settled into his new role at Anfield.
“I have already spoken to Huw Jenkins about this kind of thing,” said Rodgers. “Swansea can be a great place for any young Liverpool player to go to.
“I did it the other way around with Chelsea and we used a connection then. But they have to be good enough – you have to be a real good young player to play for Swansea.
“The players I took from Chelsea – like Scott Sinclair and Fabio Borini – I did because they were talented players. For talented young players, there’s no better place to be than Swansea.
“And it will be interesting now to assess the squad here and have a look at the young players we have."
“It is part of the contract,” admitted Rodgers. “There’s no doubt a host of players there that can play for a big club. I don’t want to destroy a brilliant time and a brilliant relationship that I have with Huw. Naturally, though, if there are players who are going to go then I would want to be in the market for them.”

West Ham bid 4 million for Grant Holt.
I'd love 'pool to grab Sigurdson, he's quality.

The one place I don't want him to end up is Wst Ham I wouldn't nearly mind as much if he went to Villa where he won't really have that much of an impact due to Darren Bent. I can understand where McNally is coming from not wanting to offer him 3 years but hopefully bridges can be mended and something can be worked out as I think he's worth more to us than anyone else. If we had to sell him I think we should be looking at a figure double the £4 million.
