So Chelsea are supposed to have bid £22million for Modric and Anderlecht are now saying they are in talks over a possible transfer for Lukaku. Given that there is no manager at the moment and I don't think Arnesen has yet been replaced are these two Abramovichs targets or who is supposedly pushing for them to be signed?

I personally think that Spurs agreed with Modric a few weeks ago that he could go for the right price and they are trying to hold out for as much as possible. The harry comments were just harry comments, he is playing the game, talking up that Modric isn't going anywhere is just an attempt to increase the price.

I can imagine a scenario forming where United sign Sanchez, which will then mean Nani is deemed surplus to requirements and he is used to lure Sneijder away from Inter. Could happen.

Hope Nani doesn't leave.

We bid £9.5m for Varane. That really baffles me. We don't need another centre back, I know we might loan him back. He might turn out to be a brilliant player, but we fully stocked on centre backs. Madrid are trying to nick him though, which might be a blessing. Why can't Fergie spend that on a up and coming centre midfielder rather than a centre back? Thiago looks class. Barcelona need money to fund for the transfer of Sanchez/Rossi/Fabregas. They can't afford two. I'd rather we put in a £15m bid for Thiago rather than Varane. Fergie is strengthening part of the team that doesn't need strengthening. If Sanchez says yes, I hope we tell Young to get lost. I'd rather keep Nani, use that Young money for Sneidjer. I can understand us signing Jones, as the Liverpool bid forced us. But we don't need Varane.
