That player wot got arrested for pinching a off-duty laydee officer's bum and groping another girl in the back of a taxi... found not guilty on both charges.

Wow, I know he's had his injury problems but I was pretty shocked to hear that Ledley King had been released by Spurs.

Edit: Apparently he doesn't want to move to another club and says he'll stay on in some capacity...so I guess he's technically retired?

Wasn't expecting that

He's still a quality player, maybe his knee problems have just taken their toll unfortunately :(

i think the thing is that ledley was on a very high wage as he had been at the club so long but when you have a player that can at best only play one game a week and also not train with the team then you know there are issues. In my opinion he has been a legend and done amazingly well to continue ,as he has had the cartilage issues with his knee for ages. Also playing on this long has probably caused him more damage .

I really hope though that he stays on in some form of a defensive coach as he was one of those amazing players that knew exactly where to be every time.

EDIT: seems he hasn't been released completely and looks like they might either offer a coaching role or possibly pay as you play. It's just his current contract has expired.

Jan Vertonghen says he's going to Spurs. A very good signing for them.

Just watched the press conference with Rodgers, came over quite well. Now that it's all sorted I'm feeling a lot more positive about next season. Any progress forward will be most welcome.
