Nani ponders future options
United star continues negotiations as Old Trafford stay in balance

Manchester United winger Nani is keeping his option opens as contract negotiations continue with the club.

The 25-year-old has spent five years at Old Trafford since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, but is now seemingly pondering his next move.

In an interview with Portuguese television station RTP he said: "I am really happy but I don't know about my future. Now I will study opportunities.

"Football is not only about England or Spain. It is possible to enjoy success in other countries.

"My agent is waiting on news about United. We have presented a counter-offer and now we are waiting on an offer from the club."

Start being more consistent (consistently average doesn't count) and you'll find you don't have to ask for more money.

I know you could say this about a few players but if he could maintain his best form, consistently, he'd be one of the best in the world. He certainly has the ability but he seems to go through long spells of being average and wasteful.

As out stands he's probably worth about £25m.

Nope. BvB retaining the first division and doing their first double in the clubs history despite losing their best player from last season (Sahin) and having the 'German Messi' out for over half the season was the biggest achievement in Europe last season.

i agree with cuttooth , winning the french league with a tiny salary and not much spent on the squad is brilliant stuff, especially when marseille, lille and psg expected to probably win it.

Possibly. One season does not make him the best manager in Europe, though. Just like Alan Pardew, who had an excellent season, isn't considered the best manager in England.

Montpellier's title is infinitely more impressive. Even if it didn't happen, Juventus' near unbeaten season would be next.

Pardew is considered the best manager of the season though, which is what I'm saying with Girard being the best Europe wide manager of the past year.

That's not what you said though. Girard European manager of the season? Sure? Overall best manager in Europe? I'd still take Fergie, Mourinho, Guardiola, Mancini or even Klopp, Wenger and Ancelotti etc over him.

Right at this moment, I'd take him at Arsenal in a heartbeat if Wenger left. The only thing that works against him is his age.

There's apparently a clause in his contract that we can't sign any Norwich players for 12 months.

Still, good appointment, and he should have the fans behind him and be able to bring a few players in.

So I just read the quotes in a newspaper. The Sky Sports site left out the best/worst/most hi-larious bit... he thinks he's the second best winger in the world! :slol:

Well, he is just behind Stuart Downing.
