Yeah, it's not likely is it?

Arsenal's first game is away to Liverpool. Easy!

Celtic's first game is ICT. Oh dear. Our boogey team. Bastards.

To be honest, now that Rafa is gone, and with Gerrard and Torres likely to be following, I've not got as much motivation in me to bait the bin-dippers. It's almost too easy, I think maybe they've suffered enough. I just hope they don't manage to get Roy Roy Super-Hodgson, I actually quite like him

Seriously though, next season will be massive for both Liverpool and United. :?

Unusual that the home derby is in midweek. Should be great though. I love night games.

In other news:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=41018236 wrote:Sky has announced plans to turn the Sky Sports News channel into a pay-TV service, at the same time launching a high definition version of the channel, and pulling out of the Freeview DTT platform.

The channel is being relaunched with what Sky is describing as a “richer and broader coverage of sports news”. Further details are expected in the next few weeks. It will be the fifth channel within the Sky Sports portfolio to broadcast in HD and follows last month’s launch of Sky News HD.

The news channel has again turned to Sky Sports News for input for its own sports bulletins, acting in part as a barker for the soon to be pay channel.

“Sky Sports News has been a great success over the last 12 years and we have big ambitions to make it even better. As part of a subscription service, customers can look forward to expanded coverage and the launch of Europe’s first HD sports news service,” said Barney Francis, managing director, Sky Sports.

The investment comes at a price, from later this year Sky Sports News will be available to Sky, Virgin Media and Talk Talk TV customers, as well as online and on mobile.

Sky3+1, a time-shifted version of the existing Freeview channel, Sky3, will replace sky Sports News on Freeview.

In a potentially related move, Sky is to close its Real Lives channel, arguably it will be displaced in part by the acquisition of Living from Virgin Media TV.

The Merseyside derby was on a Monday night last year and went off without any problems so i'd say other derbies that had to be played during the day for security reasons have probably been given the all clear to be played at night.

Technically speaking, a Monday night derby game looks good on paper but the fixture computer didn't take into account that all the Liverpool glory boys all drive up from the south for each game.

Nobody with any sense will refer to the divisions as Npower Football League Championship/League One/League Two. Wanky gooseberry fool sponsorship.

That said, I'm intrigued to see what the new sleeve patches look like. :shifty:

3 of Blackpool's first away games: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool. Then, if they need something on the last day, they're away to Man United.
