Only citizens I think? Or rather my quickest path to voting is to become a US citizen, which I can be after 3 years here (coz I'm married to one).

I will be getting it as soon as I can, may as well have another citizenship in the back pocket eh. I'd trust the US to get me out of a hostage situation a bit more these days.

Found out today that a facebook friend has gone missing, he has been on something of a downward spiral for some time (i don't know the full story but he got kicked out by the mother of his kids and i think drugs may be involved), but because he lives in Northern Ireland i haven't been able to do anything to help.

I'm not completely sure what has occured recently but he left some very worrying messages on his page, and i reached out saying not to do anything rash and to take a moment, think things through and reach out to someone locally who can help him, but unfortunately it would appear he has not done so.

His sister has posted on his page saying that the police are now involved and for him to get in touch with her, but the fact he has disapperared like this sends shivers down my spine.

Hopefully they find him buddy

Hopefully he can be found. I'd be worried about something like that, so I know what you must be thinking. Hoping that all is fine.

EDIT: Was announced this morning that he has been found and is safe, thank god for that.

Indeed. Hope whatever happened he's getting the help he needs.
