The New Year’s Treat was… OK. The contestants were all game, but it always lacks something without experienced comedians. I kept thinking how Steve Backshall looked like he could be Bruce Dickinson’s younger brother. His comedic timing was spot on with the comment about having the advantage of having used a toaster.

I enjoyed it and think they work really well as a one-off. Thought Steve and Kojey were great and Deborah was a good sport.

Familiar with all of them. Could be a good lineup. I’m quite surprised to see Steve Pemberton there. Nick Mohammed has potential to be another John Kearns, so I’ll look forward to that.
