I enjoyed the first episode. The egg task felt like very familiar territory. The team task was a nice idea.

This is definitely the least familiar I've been with a lineup. I've seen a couple of episodes of Inside No 9. And I listen to some podcasts Elis James is on, who occasionally makes reference to John Robins. I'm aware they do a show together that I've not listened to. And I'm not really sure I've seen the others before.

Elis James would be a good booking for this show though.

Nick Mohammed is far less irritating in this than when he's being his "Mr Swallow" character.

Nick was totally stiffed on the gorilla hoopla. It was over the far side for him, while the next three had it right next to the bank they were on.

Also Dracula should not have been out in daylight or have been able to cross running water.

I don't recognise any of the cast from this series. Typically, I recognise 2 or 3 from each one. Feels a shame, but I'll be watching regardless.

Steve Pemberton is pretty famous. He was in League of Gentlemen and Inside No 9. And I think he was in that Benidorm show.

The others are all far less famous. I know who John Robins and Nick Mohammed are, but I've no idea on the two women. Both seem very funny though, so it's all good.

Knew the dude from League of Gentleman, and the dude from Ted Lasso. Everyone else is new to me but that's rarely a bad thing with this show!

It's funny how some 'famous' people can pass you by.

I'm now watching episode 1 and can confirm that it's making no difference to my enjoyment.

More often than not the "unknowns" are what make the show; especially if supplemented by the more seasoned comedians.

Ha, loved that. A total inversion of such a serious logo.

Final task was a good game, but totally unfair on the team of two as only one person was guessing in each round. Team of three should have had one sitting out each time.

Joanne used the pegging system for the huge load that was all over her?

Channel 4 is to air a series of Taskmaster specials in which Greg Davies and Alex Horne lift the lid on the "best, worst and somewhat middling tasks" from their hit show Taskmaster.

Due to start on Thursday 6th June at 9pm on Channel 4, the week after Series 17 of the show has concluded, Taskmasterclass will be a nod to the brains behind the tasks, and feature interviews with former contestants about their time on the programme. Greg Davies and Little Alex Horne narrate the hour-long episodes.

In the first episode, the hosts will discuss "whether there is any point to the seemingly pointless tasks on Taskmaster", looking in the process at tasks that featured contestants including Guz Khan, Ed Gamble, Jo Brand, Paul Chowdhry and Morgana Robinson.

Taskmasterclass is the latest project linked to the format to be revealed. The show's VR game launches on 13th June, and Junior Taskmaster - a series featuring 9 to 11 year-old contestants with Rose Matafeo as the Taskmaster and Mike Wozniak as her assistant - is set to air on TV later this year.

Taskmaster itself will continue on Channel 4 until at least 2026. Series 18 has now been filmed, with the contestants set to be revealed as Series 17 concludes.

As revealed on Monday, Alex Horne is also set to guest host Have I Got News For You on Friday 7th June. He said of the news, "Although I suspect it's an admin error and they actually want me to pass the request on to my boss, I'm very excited to be hosting an episode of Have I Got News For You. I am rarely in charge, whether at work, at home or by myself, so I'm hoping a hitherto undiscovered domineering side of my personality will be unleashed all over Paul and Ian."

Looking forward to this, I'm very interested in behind the scenes stuff.
