I'd love to know the context of how those scores came about, because the game is good, but there's no strawberry floating way it's a 9 or 10 out of 10.
It's hardly objective proof showing a promotional poster, as they aren't going to put 6/10 reviews on there. Helpfully, Bethesda also didn't send out review copies to publications it predicted would hammer the game, so those review quotes are even less representative of the overall picture.
I do wonder how even those most biased of Xbox fans think the game is a cinematic masterpiece. Not many movies feature hours of loading screens, stuttering first person views and a plot largely delivered through bland dialogue uttered by automatonic potatoes.
Of course, the real reason you're seeing that image is Photek is an Xbox apologist without any reflective or objective nuance. If his Series X malfunctioned and set fire to the house, he'd still be in here praising it for saving on his heating bills.
There are hills to die on, but even fans of the game can see the very obvious flaws. That's before we even get into how "innovative" Fallout/Skyrim/Oblivion in Space (feat. no Man's Sky) is.
