Really? I'd say I had £25 worth of fun with the first one (that's an estimate given I played it on Game Pass) and I'd heard it was more of the same with a bit more of an open world. Is that not the case?

It is a good game. The combat is good. The exploration is good. The story is good. The "star wars" is good. There are a few difficulty spikes, but overally its a good game.
I think its probably too early for a £25 price point, particularly if it's still selling reasonably well. But I think it will get that cheaper, especially as it will ultimately end up being on a service.

Not sure if this is any help but Game Collection have the XBox version for £38 with a big bonus on points back effectively giving a £10 discount. Unfortunately they've only got the deluxe version on PS5.
Picked this up in the Prime sale, I was surprised it’s still as as expensive as it is but I suppose with the shows on Disney+ recently it makes sense. Was dropped to £40 last week and prime knocked it down some more.
It took me a while to remember what happened in the first and the controls and such. But it’s easy to get into gameplay wise.
Overall I’m a bit disappointed. The graphics are a bit sub par at times for next gen, some stuff is lovely some other feels ps3 especially some alien designs. I’ve had a lot of glitches so far and I’m only just finishing Jedha. From cutscenes freezing hit continuing the audio, enemies dying and staying in mid air its a bit bad this is happening 5-6 months after release
I forgot how much like Assassins Creed it is gameplay wise. The combat is fun, it’s cool to wield the lightsaber, the worlds feel the same as the last one, a bit too big and empty. I’m not really enjoying the game so far it’s just a bit meh for me. I feel the series on PS3 (the name forgets me now) was better.
The old Jedi sections seem so similar to the memory levels where you get power that are in Hogwarts legacy (can’t remember if they were in the first game if they were it’s obvious where HL got inspiration from).
I’ll carry on and see if my view changes, I picked this up instead of getting Spider-Man 2 later in the month and feel I regret that already.
I think overall, I just don’t feel it’s Star Wars - I can’t put my finger on it but the story isn’t strong for me and the characters, the bad guys just a bit.. meh, doesn’t feel like it’s the same as the star wars I’m watching on Disney+
I didn't really like where the story went in the first one to be honest. I was waiting for this to drop in price but impressions have put me off a bit. I might just wait and see how the Ubisoft game turns out which was looking pretty good to me last time they showed it off!
I’m enjoying it so far but I feel the decision to make it more open world hurts it. It’s lost that tightly designed level structure of the first and often I forget where I’m meant to go or what the plot reason is. Others have mentioned it’s “less souls like” and I’m already feeling that. Still enjoying it though and havent had any bugs glitches or crashes yet.
Edit. Spoke to soon. Arrived at base on Jehda and the graphics have gone glitchy as hell, white jaggy screen tearing all over. Coming off Baldurs gate that was relatively glitch free and considering this has been out a while now it’s a real let down. Too many companies throw games out the door, quick cash grab and show no interest in fixing. I worry this may be the case here.
Is this supposed to still be pretty janky? I've only played an hour or so but I've had it lock up on me once and glitch the audio a whole bunch of times.
It really does feel like it's hanging together with sellotape and chewing gum. I remember playing it feeling like it was all going to fall apart at the seams. Hard crashed my PS5 quite a few times.
