Nah, Zwei is boring and slow.

Stick to the Longsword. Best and most varied move-set in the game. :datass:

For a slightly safer approach, try the spear. There's a good one in the graveyard near the Zwei, which should last you half the game, until you get one that does about the same damage but has better range. Don't need to cower behind your shield, either. When I rock the spear, I hold it with both hands just as often. Just after you get the spear you can get a ring that boosts counter damage (from thrust attacks only) by 40% as well.

Counter can be performed by striking an opponent at the same time their attack would have hit you (or immediately afterwards) before they recover from the "peak" of their attack animation.

Normal counters are +20%, so with the ring a counter is 168% of normal. :)

Co-op, or like that time we played Diablo and you ran away and killed everything whilst I wondered what was going on?

:slol: I wouldn't be able to do that. You need to be within a certain range of levels of the other player to be able to summon them...

That and you cant really do that in DS.

I didn't mean necessarily this very moment, I was referring to your reluctance to play the game in general. And I was joking with you, ya git :)

(I know you were joking, hence my use of a lower tier insult)

I have so much stuff to play that I just never got round to DS after putting it down last time. I want to like it, I can see there is clearly a lot here to like. And I like watching the pants man videos on videogamer.

Zwei is the manliest sword in the entire game. The strawberry floating thing actually flattens anything you hit with it, only puny weak babies don't realize zwei>everything

also, that banderas gif

Try that move against a player though, and they will have backstabbed you before you even have a chance to lift your sword up from the ground again. ;)

Seriously though, there was a time were every man and his dog was rocking a greatsword or an ultra-greatsword in PVP (or a katana).
I will concede though, that it's really satisfying to poise-break the bosses with it.

I had an invasion and managed to smack the cheeky banana split down with my Zwei

He started out so cocky and then ended up covering behind a tree

I'll have DEM souls thank you.

The Anor Londo run. :dread:
Even after many, many hundred hours with this game, the Anor Londo bonfire run still gives me troubles sometimes. A spear or rapier and a good shield is the easiest way.

If you don't want Brer or Anung to think bad of you, try the Warrior or the Wanderer.
