I've lent this off a friend and just started this....read a few things about it as the intro got going...and you know what....I just can't be bothered to play it now. I don't want to get frustrated and angry and have to commit myself to a huge RPG. I'm gonna go and play a game designed for more retarded people.

Don't you mean you've 'borrowed this from a friend'?

If you can't even master the English language it's no wonder you're not up for dark souls.

May I recommend COD?

I've been playing the PC version of this loads the last few days. Looks great, and the framerate is rock solid with the fix. Blighttown was a breeze, even with an invasion.

Only problem is that the online seems less busy compared to the 360 from just a few months back. :-(

Still, Dark Souls!

Started new on PC with a warrior. This game gets it's claws into you so quickly.

Online seemed really busy today, maybe due to the sale.

Cheers to Brer for the link to dsfix. I also got the co-op one today. If it really makes it easier to find friends then that's another huge bonus of this version.

Co-op fix?

Is it port forwarding, or something more? I forwarded some ports for XBL on my router two years ago, so I assumed I wouldn't have to do so again.

Also: Warrior. :datass:
Best starting class, tbh. Fun to use, versatile weapon, good shield that you can use the majority of the time. Only thing that you should really focus on is maybe replacing the armour.

I'm at the duke archives where you have that initial boss fight whom you can't defeat and end up in the prison. Question, should I spend the souls I have before all that as I have like 100,000 or so. Like how long is it before I presume I fight that boss again so can get the dropped souls back? seems like a waste otherwise to risk it.

No it's a pc mod that changes how it prioritises who's signs you see. Makes it much easier to find friends.

Yeah I am loving warrior. Never played it on my ps3 runs, it's a really versatile class.

That's a lot to risk losing for sure.

Spend, I think they are lost forever, unless you have one of those 1 use rings, that protects everything you have upon death, now is the time to use it.

He causes Curse status, so make sure to die quickly so you don't get cursed, or use a Rare Ring instead of the normal one.

Or get curse resistant gear or something, obviously.

Wear a Rare Ring of Sacrifice for the initial Seath fight and you turn up in the prison with no curse and all your souls intact. 100,000 souls is quite a lot to lose especially if it's your first time going through the game.

For the proper Seath fight I'd recommend wearing either The Antiquated Set or The Crimson Set combined with a Cursebite Ring and if you're careful you shouldn't get cursed.

And if you'd rather wear heavy armor, Havel's set has some curse resistance as well, IIRC.
So does the Dingy set for light armour, and the Maiden set which is found near where you get placed after the first fight.
And as always, Humanity helps.

I never start with the Knight. The fatroll is just too slow for my taste.

If you don't want Brer or Anung to think bad of you, try the Warrior or the Wanderer. Personally I think the easiest starting class is the Cleric because of the heal spell, but maybe that's just me.

Its honestly not quite as hard as its made out to be. Pro tip, start as a pyromancer if you want to ease yourself into it. Go for knight if youre a proper man tho.

I think I started with a warrior or something and made it as far as the hog dude. Magic is gay and lame and I dont want to use it, but it does feel like the game forces you to do so.

If I wanted to be a shitey wizard I would have chosen the shitey wizard class. Illusion of choice.
