ADwD megaspoilers:

Jon Snow dead. :( I knew it was coming after getting it spoiled, but still came as a surprise. Running out of good guys now. Jaime and Selmy carrying this gooseberry fool.

Melisandre is going to bring him back to life, it's cool. The prologue is probably foreshadowing that he'll warg into Ghost until that point.

I'd love it if he was actually just dead.

Yeah I kind of would too, it would be interesting to see where the story will go if that happened.

DWD

I think Jon Snow is one of the only characters that Martin does cling onto a bit. He has already been one lucky strawberry floater. It's like all the bad luck of the starks is for Snowy boy to have good luck.

Finished. So relieved that it can't be spoiled for me any more. Though the wait for the new one is going to be painful.

And now to spend hours reading the various Wikis on the books to find out all the stuff I missed.
