So, I've got myself into another rubbish situation. I'm beginning to think I go looking for this gooseberry fool.

I'm travelling with a group down the Great Ocean Road in southern Aus: a German guy I've been travelling with for ages, a Dutch girl I met a while back who rejoined us and the German girl I was running a hostel with for a month. Now me and the German girl, let's call her H, were best mates here. We'd spend evenings getting drunk talking about loads of gooseberry fool. Quite often this gooseberry fool included my German guy travel compatriot, let's call him P. H fancied the arse off P basically. He has a girlfriend but they have this Ross and Rachel "Will they won't they" thing going on. Anyway, we had a fantastic thing going me and H: completely platonic but great. I definitely fancied her but she's an incredibly flirty person with everyone so I never acted.

That is until we got smashed and shagged. Well, a few times now. Purely a friends with benefits thing but yeah. The awkward thing was the first time we did this was in a tent literally right next to P and he got into a massive strop. Then I find out H had shagged P a few weeks earlier. Then the next night we got drunk and shagged again, this time without broadcasting it to everyone.

Now P is making moves again, we picked up another guy who's trying it on with her and I'm stuck in the backseat (literally) trying not to feel a wee bit hurt while still wanting to shag H again. She meanwhile makes googly eyes at me every time she drinks buy otherwise remains rather aloof, the majority of our former relationship erased. Urgh.

I never learn.

Sounds annoying, but kind of predictable as well, if it was 'only' a FwB arrangement.

I didn't really know it was a FWB thing at the time. Also I was horribly drunk. Not complaining so much as I'm lamenting my shitty judgement of these things. As an aside, she's 21 to my 29. Feels weird man.

Nah, I've already had almost a week away from her and I don't feel any different. I'm supposed to be seeing her now and I'm still sat in bed. She's definitely up there on the looks scale but I'm not sad enough to stay with a girl just because she's hot. I'm also not minging enough to not be able to get that elsewhere.

By almost everyone's standards, I probably cheated on her last Thursday night anyway with the Bulgarian girl.
