in my defence, I never wanted to go out with her to begin with - I was bored and she had been nagging me about it for ages

what Im saying is, all you lads out there who have backchatting smartarse girlfriends, keep looking, because out there is your very own red to break and bend to your will - it warms the heart to see

I had one of those, it really was amazing what you could get away with. She so wanted to be with me that she would believe any nonsense I told her, even when it so obviously untrue.

*Other girl sends her texts saying she's been sleeping with me

ME: "Oh she's just crazy, she's just trying to break us up so she can get with me"

HER: "Ok honey.. Well nothing like that could ever break us up"

That, or things like it, happened dozens of times. One girl even sent her a detailed description of my bedroom in an effort to prove I'd been cheating and she still believed me.

As much fun as it was, I think in the end you just realise that the whole situation is a bit weird. That they're so desperate to be with you, they'd put up with all that utter cuntishness.

Conversely, my missus doesn't put up with gooseberry fool.

I think it's generally known as forgiveness. Sometimes adults do this when they understand the situation is more complicated than wisecracking teenagers might be able to grasp.

True. Willful stupidity is particularly annoying, I guess. Like I don't mind Manny wading in because he's just an out and out moron, so you know, aww bless him. Others ought to know better.

Our biggest argument is over me never leaving the cap on the toothpaste. My position: life's too short. His position: wasps will eat it.

My brother puts the cap on the toothpaste before letting the toothpaste suck back into the tube. This results in a load of manky gooey toothpaste congealing around the cap. It's disgusting.

In other, more relationshippy news, I've decided I will not stay another year in Japan, and will come home permanently in July. This means breaking up with the girl over there, which will be absolutely horrible.

Not without a forseeable end point, no. We're also kind of at different stages in our lives, and she's pretty tied up in Japan. There's a case to be made that we wouldn't have even been together for this long if the relationship didn't have a definite end point, to be honest...

The would be four toothpastes for a couple living separately. Bit pointless.

You're right, I should just carry it on me at all times. Much better.
