Great idea! I'll give a tenner this week.

Just a thought though - can't LewieP/someone find a cheaper Wii than £180? They were £135 with Sports and Sports resort last week in Sainsbury...

I'm sure we could make the money go further...

Another good point is that unfortunately Alder Hey can't accept used toys, as they could carry germs and the like. Dig deep lads.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I want a Wii Jesus. Sounds like an awesome game. I'll also donate a tenner on Friday when I get paid.

Had a quick look at Amazon, and it says that Marketplace stuff can't be submitted for some arbitrary reason, so we'll have to get the one it recommends I'm afraid, I'll have a more detailed poke through the t&cs when I get home. :)

Ok, as I mentioned, for some reason that isn't explained, when you select one of the cheaper Wiis that are sold through Amazon by other agents it lets you get right through to the checkout before saying " We're sorry. This item can't be delivered to a Wish List or gift registry address. ". I think I'd rather try and keep it all in the official channels as opposed to buying a Wii from Sainsburys and just turning up at the hospital with it.

I've updated the totaliser in the OP, looking pretty good after less than 24 hours and if all the people who say they'll donate actually do then we could be at our target in no time. :D I think I'll put a list of donators on the first page unless anyone has any objections? Should I put how much everyone has donated or should that be private? I wouldn't want someone not to donate because they only had a small amount to give and don't want to look bad next to people who've donated more.

So Amazon bump up the RRP so they make massive profits from Charity? Niiiice.

I've emailed them with the problem, hopefully it's just a mistake on their part, it does say on the page that they can only accept new items, but it lets you sort all the items on there by new and used so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get one of the cheaper new ones that are one there.

Hopefully they'll be lenient as it's for charity. Hopefully.

Shadow me and you are both in the 'pool aren't we, i'm pretty sure that they take toys and games sealed, just not used, we could buy the HMV deal and take it to the hospital together.

Downside is that we don't end up making child's play look better.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:
