It's too early for successors to the hardware they have out now.

My guess is a rebranded wii u. Bigger hard drive, new look, better online facilities to aim it as more of a set top box. Big marketing push to make people realise that this is actually a successor to the wii and not an add on to the wii.

I would mind a 3DS revision, I'm not a fan of the current shape as it feels awkward to hold especially with fingers on the shoulder buttons

I reckon the Gameboy name would pull on those nostalgia strings for a lot of people. Would be a good move to bring it back.

Nintendo to release their own VR headset called Virtual Boy U. Super Mario UniVeRse to launch with it.

I'm betting on an achingly unessential Wii U accessory or a Wii U redesign with a bigger hard-drive and tweaks to the Gamepad's size, weight, and battery life.

Doesn't a poorly timed Wii U redesign, creating backlash from people who had just coughed up to get one for Mario Kart, seem like something Nintendo would do?

There's not really an awful lot that makes sense for them to do now. Assuming we aren't talking an addon of some kind, the only realistic thing it could be is a Wii U redesign, but I don't go along with it being either poorly timed or creating a backlash from people that have just bought one at a knock down price.

Less than 2 weeks after launching a new bundle with Mario Kart?

Could chuck Mario Kart in with the new one too when it arrives, though the new hardware could launch later in the year.

They have been trying to clear a lot of the stock of Wii U's at retailers recently so it could be because they know a revision is on the cards!

The gamepad could do with shedding some size and sticking in the longer lasting battery

use the 2ds i bought one and it's very comfortable for me, i was never really bothered about the 3d and the 3ds was not a comfy handheld.
