That second half South Africa scrum is brutal. Just total domination. The final penalty could have gone either way but sadly if you're off the back of giving away 5 scrum penalties you're not going to get any benefit of the doubt in a 50/50 call.

Also, why is Farrell captain? His temper tantrum gifted SA 3 crucial points.

Glad to see this is still a competitive match, you never know what to expect from 3rd place play offs. Argentina playing really well to force gaps in the England line, but I reckon England will probably still see them off.

Yup, really glad both sides really want to win. But after last week, I’m seriously unimpressed by England.

To be honest, right now Argentina really deserve to win this.

All the potential to be an absolute cracker tonight. Hoping NZ win but above all just want a match worthy of the whole competition.

Gotta love the absolute shithousery that South Africa have pulled winning every knockout game by 1 point. Absolute bastard's champions.

That game felt like it went on for hours, but in a good way. Real close fought stuff.

Thought it was a decent tournament overall. Who'd have thought that going into the final four, England would be in there, and the only unbeaten team left :slol:

The SF was great for 75 mins, and then gut-wrenching at the end, but that's rugby I guess. The final was decent enough, again SA doing just enough. Most rugby I've watched in a few years now, and it was good to get back into it.

Not sure I'm really seeing the benefit of this new tournament that's been announced. Time will tell I guess, but seems a bit pointless (other than as a money-making exercise, which I guess might be the objective).

For anyone who missed it:

The new competition sees a series of one-off cross-hemisphere Test matches take place in July and November. The northern hemisphere countries from the Six Nations will travel south in July for three Tests. The Rugby Championship sides, along with Fiji and Japan, will then head north in November for three further Tests.

The wins will be chronicled in a league format, and there will be a "grand final" at the end of the year to determine the overall winner. The other rugby-playing countries will compete in a World Rugby-run second-division competition with relegation-promotion to the Nations Championship only permitted from 2030.

So, in practice, what this means is that in 2026 and 2028 there will be the Nations Championship taking place, replacing the traditional summer and autumn internationals windows.

In 2027 there's the World Cup in Australia, and in 2029 -- when the Lions travel to New Zealand, as things stand -- the 12 countries involved in the Nations Championship will play "Tier 2" opposition in the July window.

The Six Nations will be played across February/March while the Rugby Championship will be played in the August/September slots respectively.

The Pacific Nations Cup will also return from 2024 with Canada, Fiji, Japan, Samoa, Tonga and USA competing in a competition in the August/September window.

And the men's Rugby World Cup will also have more teams in 2027, expanding from 20 to 24 nations. The new format sees six pools of four teams, with a round of 16 added prior to the quarterfinals. This will reduce the tournament window from seven to six weeks.

6 Nations is just around the corner guys!

A friend won tickets to England v Wales and offered me his extra ticket which is great! Very low expectations for Wales given the team they've announced and the strength of the other teams thi year. But who knows. My mates a bit England fan so could be a long day

Netflix have also released their 6 Nations documentary today, hoping to get through it all before the tournament kicks off.

Also no mention of LRZ going off to America to try and crack the NFL in here. A decision I did not see coming but I hope it works out for him (I have little to no knowledge of NFL  ).

With how poor Wales are, I'm the least interested I've been in years.

My predictions.

1) France
2 ) Ireland
3) Scotland
4) England
5/6) Italy/Wales
