I like the name, and hope they continue the trend of rude euphemisms and call the next one, Tomb Raider - The Secret of the Back Door. Or something along those lines.

:)

I'm replaying the last game on PS4 (the so-called 'Definitive Edition') and I'm enjoying it a second time around. One of the few games I've recently actually completed (Ghosts SP (also on PS4) was another, funnily enough). I still find the combat needlessly irritating (I would much prefer it if TR games were just all about the exploration, etc), but it is a strangely enjoyable game and, apart from a few forced intense moments, quite a leisurely experience.

Yep - looking forward the next. We'll see.

I wouldn't mind a few more exotic locals in the vein of Uncharted. One of my most anticipated games of 2015, as I've completed the reboot twice (PS3 & PS4) & that's something I rarely do unless it's called Broken Sword.

The name has to go though.

I'm replaying it as well, I'd completely forgot about the comedy Scotsman :fp:
Less of that in the sequel please

So if someone were to get an interview with another someone working on the game, what questions would you want answered? :shifty:

It's a very big if at the moment

Will they add some charisma to Lara this time?

Are they gonna bother with a multiplayer mode or just do single player?

You guys would make terrible journalists  (not a bad thing etc)

I will take these questions in essence, the wording needs some tinkering

Okay how's this, with the Tomb Raider re-boot last year, you really seemed to want to make another Uncharted game, but in doing that you missed the very thing that makes Uncharted great, charisma, it's safe to say that the Lara Croft in the game had very little which made it hard to really feel anything for the character, will you be doing more to make Lara likeable/relatable?

Please ask them if they're getting rid of the totally not intrusive SECRET TOMB NEARBY messages and letting us find them on our own. Or just ask if we're going to be able to turn off most of the notifications full stop.

Better, but really the done thing is to not inject too much of your own opinion into an interview as that's subjective and the interviewee can shrug it off pretty simply. Mentioning a general opinion (or simply framing your own as a generally held opinion) is more likely to get you somewhere. There's also the whole flow of an interview to think of, so you can coax answers out of people and steer them towards something interesting or the answer you're hoping for.

So that question could be split as so.

- Tomb Raider owed a lot to Naughty Dog's Uncharted series, but now this rebooted Tomb Raider is up and running are you hoping to find your own style and feel to make this series stand out among its competitors?

- A common complaint among fans was that Lara endured so much violence and misery that her actual character and personality (beyond her tenacity) never got to shine through, will we see a more confident Lara this time round and how serious will the new game be?

I'd prefer to read something from the hip and honest rather than some dancing around the subject, I want honest answers not a five minute lap dance. David Jenkins from the Metro is excellent, because he gets to the point and isn't afraid of hurting some feelings. Be honest and you'll stand out, be willing to bend to PR you will fade into the background.

Best journalists = honest journalists.

There's honest and then there's rude, you don't want to offend the guy, make them close up and not give any decent answers. I'm just saying that an interview should never be about the person conducting it

You can only start Paxoing the interviewee if you've got the clout behind you to back it up. Otherwise you're going to find your contact list pretty empty by the end of it.

I'm more interested in where they're going to be setting the game this time. Can we expect more varied outdoor based locations (Tomb Raider 2 and 3), more Tombs (1 & 4), or more of an even combination. Outside of Lara Croft, any returning characters from the reboot?

Will there be more tombs? That's all I'm interested in. Now they've established croft as a raider of sorts, can we expect more puzzles? As the last one had very little in the way of them?

Fabian Delph is a banana split.
