Pretty much what Fishy says, or even classic role playing books could be turned into games on Kinect. I think the potential in this area is huge for Kinect, sadly I don't think the money men see it that way.

Great picture BTW

"Crimson Dragon Scratches That Star Fox 64 Itch. The Xbox One launch title is a delightful throwback to a forgotten genre":-

I'm grateful that Microsoft has removed a majority of the Kinect features from the game. Crimson Dragon was originally slated to be controlled via motion gestures, much like how you could play Child of Eden back in 2011. Since this feels so much like a throwback to a classic genre, I'm personally glad that they decided to keep a more traditional mode of play and allow us to use the Xbox One controller instead.

Playing about an hour of Crimson Dragon also got me thinking if this $20 digital release is indicative of the future of the AA game. Are things like this and Powerstar Golf, two games that are bigger than indies but smaller than AAA blockbusters, going to become standard in this upcoming console generation? I for one would love to see this trend continue, but only time will tell.

Aww, it says on that ign article under release date that it's been cancelled. :(
Is this true? It looked like quite a fun game.

I think it's probably because of this (just above release date):
IGN wrote:Crimson Dragin was originally planned for release on Xbox 360 but has since been transformed to an Xbox One-exclusive release.

Also, Dragin? Come on guys, no wonder no one takes video game journalism seriously.

It really doesn't look like a next-gen game at all.

Still probably end up getting it though unless it gets terrible reviews.

6/10 from Gameinformer:-

Summary
•Concept: Resurrect the on-rails shooter genre with a spiritual successor to Sega’s classic Panzer Dragoon series, but fail to recapture the glory
•Graphics: The environmental design is exotic, but the graphical detail isn’t much better than last-gen games. Not surprising, since it originally began as an Xbox 360 title
•Sound: The music is moody and dramatic, but mostly unremarkable. The voice acting sounds like a Saturday-morning cartoon
•Playability: You control your dragon with the left analog stick and your aiming reticule with the right stick, which takes a bit of getting used to
•Entertainment: Crimson Dragon might offer fans a few cheap thrills of rail shooters, but the repetitive gameplay grows old quickly
•Replay: Moderately Low

Edge 5

Crimson Dragon is at its most absorbing when it’s not hard. There’s a sense of satisfying caretaking to easier levels, and the constant stream of instant rewards for playing well is more gratifying than it should be. It’s during its harder moments that Crimson Dragon pushes you away. A combination of heavy handling and poor communication make you feel hoodwinked rather than outmatched, and the ability to buy continues with Gems you’ve purchased with real money sullies the challenge. It’s a good job that the Zen gardens of those easier levels are always there to return to.

IGN 5.9

Crimson Dragon works well enough as a straight arcade shooter, and there’s plenty of challenge in it. There’s some nostalgic value, too, but it’s weak graphics and frustrating free-flight boss fights make it tough to enjoy the stroll down memory lane.

Polygon 4

Crimson Dragon is a total misfire

But I could forgive all of these missteps, the weird microtransactions, the underwhelming graphics, the off-kilter systems, if, on a very basic level, it was fun. It's not. Crimson Dragon manages to take riding on a sweet flying dragon and make it a bland, frustrating slog. In my book, that's about as unforgivable as sins come.

Destructoid 8

Great: Impressive efforts with a few noticeable problems holding it back. Won't astound everyone, but is worth your time and cash.

Huh. I was betting on this being the best non-Forza game in the X1 lineup.

Shame they messed it up. That microtransaction continues thing sounds diabolical.
